Female Trade Union Chairwoman "midwife" of children of union members and workers

Not only does she play the role of Chairwoman of the grassroots Trade Union (CĐCS), taking care of the lives of union members and workers (NLĐ), but Ms. Do Kim Yen, Standing Deputy General Director of An Giang Tourism Development Joint Stock Company, is also loved and known by everyone for many activities to support students.

With the task of being in charge of managing business, internal affairs, foreign affairs, administration, and personnel organization, Ms. Yen has made efforts to excellently complete all assigned tasks. In her role as Secretary of the Party Cell, she has clearly shown her political bravery and was recognized as a Party member who excellently completed tasks for 5 consecutive years (2021 – 2025).

In her role as Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union, Ms. Yen is not only a reliable support for union members and workers but also a connector and builder of internal solidarity. Organizing many cultural and sports activities; Coordinating with the Board of General Directors of the Company to develop many policies beneficial to workers; effectively implementing socialization work...

Typically, quite successfully implementing the interest-free support fund for union members; advising the General Director to sign guarantees for union members to borrow capital from CEP Organization; awarding scholarships to children of union members who are good at studying and have difficult circumstances; implementing the "Continuing Steps to School" program for the past 7 years; mobilizing support for union members' children to have heart surgery, donating health insurance to union members' children annually... with mobilized amounts of hundreds of millions of VND.

Ms. Yen shared that she has implemented the program to help union members and workers' children for many years. In addition to the source of the Trade Union according to regulations, she personally spent more plus mobilized friends and relatives. Through this, many students, children of union members and workers in difficult circumstances have been supported to go to school with practical scholarships. In addition, they also donated bicycles, tools, study tables and chairs, health insurance cards... for their children to be more confident and secure in their studies.

Ms. Yen recounted: "Many students receiving scholarships are very happy and touched, texting to thank them, some children show off their academic achievements. When I receive those messages, I am very touched. What I do has partly opened up the future for them, so I am very happy.

Ms. Yen also said that there are 2 circumstances where children of union members have heart disease, the grassroots trade union has launched a campaign in the Company to help together, thereby receiving about 100 million VND for 2 circumstances.

Many union members and workers affectionately compare Ms. Yen to the "midwife" of the children. It is from grassroots activities, practical actions, and proper, accurate, timely, and adequate care that have helped workers trust and participate more in the Trade Union organization, and become more connected with the company.

Ms. Yen is assessed by the Company's Board of Directors as having a high sense of responsibility, always dedicated to work and knowing how to coordinate effectively with colleagues.

Ms. Yen said that she will continue to focus on protecting the legitimate rights of union members and workers, ensuring transparent salary, bonus, and welfare regimes. With specific solutions such as strengthening periodic dialogues to promptly resolve workers' petitions and difficulties. Developing welfare programs such as supporting periodic health check-ups, organizing sightseeing and resorts, improving spiritual life. Promoting training and coaching on vocational skills, labor safety, helping to improve capacity and reduce risks in work.
