On February 11, a working delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL) led by Ms. Thai Thu Xuong - Standing Vice President of the VGCL - visited and presented Tet gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances at Kien Hung Joint Stock Company (Thanh Loc Industrial Park, An Giang).
Speaking at the program, Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong sent New Year greetings to all union members and workers for a new year of good health and happiness.
Ms. Thai Thu Xuong said that the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour has directed the implementation of many practical, in-depth and widespread programs in caring for and supporting union members and workers. During the Lunar New Year At Ty 2025, more than 11.3 million turns of union members, workers and their relatives have benefited from care activities implemented by the Trade Union organization, with a total mobilized budget of over 7,800 billion VND.
Along with that, the General Confederation and Trade Union levels have paid attention to supporting the construction and repair of more than 1,500 "Trade Union Shelter" houses with a total budget of over 82 billion VND; organized many activities to support union members and workers affected by natural disasters, storms, floods, labor accidents, and occupational diseases, thereby promptly sharing difficulties and stabilizing life for workers.
“The above figures not only reflect the scale and resources of care work, but more importantly, the feelings, responsibilities and companionship of the Trade Union organization with union members and workers across the country,” Ms. Xuong emphasized.
At the program, the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor presented 50 gifts (each gift worth 1.3 million VND including cash and gifts) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances of the Company.
The gifts, although not large in material terms, are the feelings of the Trade Union organization, so that brothers and sisters can return to their families to celebrate a joyful Tet, filled with love and happiness.
Receiving gifts from leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Thuy - a union member of the Company's Trade Union - shared: "Today, workers are very happy to sit together and eat a very delicious Trade Union year-end meal. Being cared for and cared for by the Trade Union organization, workers are assured to work, Tet also has gifts to bring home, feeling full and warm.
Also at the program, the grassroots trade union of Kien Hung Joint Stock Company coordinated with the Company's Board of Directors to organize a year-end Trade Union meal for 500 union members and workers. Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong also attended and shared a warm and meaningful meal with workers.
Standing Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Thai Thu Xuong cordially inquired about the living and work situation of union members and company workers. Thereby encouraging their spirit to work more productively, with higher quality and efficiency and become more attached to the business.
According to the plan, allocated from the source of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor to An Giang province is 650 gifts (worth from 1.3 to 2.3 million VND) to union members and workers in difficult circumstances during the 2026 Lunar New Year.
