One "Trade Union Meal" per month
In Tan Hiep ward, Cua Y A Chau Technology Co., Ltd. (specializing in producing high-class kitchen cabinets) has about 1,000 workers. The organization of meals to ensure health for workers is always concerned and implemented by the grassroots trade union (CĐCS) and the company.
In her role as Chairwoman of the Grassroots Trade Union, from 2024, Ms. Le Thi Huong has proactively proposed to businesses to implement the "Trade Union Meal" program under the direction of the VGCL. Being approved by businesses to support funding, Ms. Le Thi Huong has planned to organize special meals for more than 1,000 workers.
The grassroots trade union has ordered other foods from the daily menu such as: roasted chicken, roasted pork, spring rolls, spring rolls, spring rolls, drinks, milk and fruits. At the meal, business leaders and the grassroots trade union came to the dining tables to encourage workers. The "Trade Union Meals" are always filled with laughter and joy of workers.

The grassroots trade union hopes that workers will have delicious meals to improve their health. Through meals, strengthen sharing and understanding of each other. Everyone should do their job well to unite and overcome difficult times," Ms. Le Thi Huong said.
This activity is increasingly spreading, helping to build more stable labor relations in enterprises. Over the past two years, the grassroots trade union has organized "Trade Union Meals" every month, sometimes 2 times a month.
Organizing many welfare programs for union members
In her role as Chairwoman of the grassroots trade union, Ms. Le Thi Huong advised the company's board of directors to implement many welfare policies for employees. During the 2026 Lunar New Year, Ms. Huong proposed that the company organize a year-end party for all employees. At the program, workers were given a cash prize draw with a total value of 1.5 billion VND. Each person will be given a cash prize draw of at least 600,000 VND and at most 10 million VND. The grassroots trade union will also give each union member a Tet gift.
To reduce Tet expenses for union members, Ms. Le Thi Huong proposed to the company to organize a "0-dong Tet Market". More than 1,000 workers and laborers of the enterprise are entitled to this welfare program. The grassroots trade union also reviewed and gave market tickets to more than 150 people in difficult circumstances near the factory.

In the context of rising prices of many items greatly affecting workers' lives, Ms. Le Thi Huong and the grassroots trade union have proposed to the company to increase the basic salary. Currently, the basic salary of employees and allowances is 8.5 million VND/person/month. If working overtime, employees have an average income of 9-14 million VND/month.
On the occasion of March 8th, the grassroots trade union proposed that businesses organize a party to honor female workers. At the program, each female union member was given a lucky red envelope of 200,000 VND, and male workers also received lucky money of 100,000 VND.
In Workers' Month 2026, the grassroots trade union continues to organize sports activities, Trade Union Meals, and control the quality of workers' lunch meals. We also give gifts on June 1st to encourage workers' children" - Ms. Le Thi Huong shared.

Typical grassroots trade union officials
According to the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, Ms. Le Thi Huong is one of the typical grassroots trade union officials who has many models and good practices contributing to improving the lives of union members. Thereby building harmonious labor relations at enterprises. Ms. Le Thi Huong was selected as the official delegate to attend the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026 - 2031 in early June 2026.
