This is an important political event for the team of civil servants, workers and union members; a milestone continuing the tradition of solidarity, responsibility and creativity of generations of Can Tho University Union officials throughout nearly 60 years of construction and development.
Attending and directing the Congress were Dr. Nguyen Ngoc An - Member of the Party Committee of the Ministry of Education and Training, Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor (VGCL), Chairman of the Vietnam Education Trade Union; Mr. Le Van Hoa - Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation; representatives of the Education Trade Unions of provinces and cities; representatives of the Trade Unions of universities.
On the side of Can Tho University, there were Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Trung Tinh - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Principal; former leaders of the Party, government, and Trade Union of Can Tho University through their terms; Party Committee members, Party Committee Secretaries, Party Cell Secretaries under the Party Committee of the School; leaders of units under the School, along with 146 delegates representing more than 1,900 union members in the entire school.
The Congress approved the summary report for the 2023-2025 term and the direction of activities for the 2025-2030 term; the review report of the 18th Executive Committee.
The representative of the School's Trade Union Executive Committee for the 2025-2030 term also reported and answered comments on the draft Report of the School's Trade Union, and synthesized comments on the draft Report of the Vietnam Education Trade Union.
The Congress elected the Executive Committee of the Can Tho University Trade Union, term XIX, 2025 - 2030, consisting of 13 people and elected delegates to attend the Congress of the Vietnam Education Trade Union, consisting of 4 people (including 1 delegate with a disability).
Mr. Le Nguyen Doan Khoi was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho University, term XIX, 2025 - 2030.
In the 2023 - 2025 term, the Can Tho University Trade Union has marked with many outstanding results, completing most of the set targets.
For the 2025 - 2030 term, the Can Tho University Trade Union sets a common goal of performing well the function of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of union members; enhancing the development of material and spiritual benefits of union members; constantly innovating, diversifying and implementing in depth emulation movements, industry campaigns, cultural, artistic and sports activities to improve the material and spiritual life of union members.
Deploy patriotic emulation movements, continue to launch emulation movements and campaigns, focusing on implementing the emulation movement "Good teaching - Good learning" with the content "Innovation, creativity in management, teaching, service and learning" associated with the campaign "Each teacher is an example of ethics, self-study and creativity" and "Innovation, creativity and efficiency in the activities of the Trade Union organization". Continue to improve the capacity of the trade union staff, building an increasingly strong trade union organization.
