During the term, the School's Trade Union coordinated with the government to arrange labor reasonably, promote democratic rights at the grassroots level, ensure the regulations on organization and operation of the School and the People's Inspectorate; actively care for the lives of union members and workers.
The allowance and subsidy regimes for civil servants and employees (VC-NLD) have been well implemented. The unit has participated with the government in providing grants for difficulties when union members and their families are sick; giving Tet gifts; organizing birthdays for VC-NLD.
The school's Board of Directors and the Trade Union have widely implemented mutual love and support work, with 100% of VC-NLD participating in contributing a total amount of about 330 million VND.
Every year, the Executive Committee (EC) of the Truong Trade Union and trade union groups have closely followed the political goals and tasks of the unit, developed plans, contents and implemented a patriotic emulation movement among VC - NLD. Through patriotic emulation movements, union members and employees in all areas of work have completed their assigned work well with a spirit of dedication and high responsibility, actively contributing to the completion of tasks.
Union members and employees at the unit also actively participate in scientific research, initiatives, improvements, and valuable experiences in economics and society, contributing to the overall development of the school. In particular, at the 2024 City-level Self-made Training Equipment Competition, the School has 6 equipment competing, won 2 first prizes, 4 consolation prizes and won the first prize for the whole team. In particular, the model " Designing cold storage construction using a layered cycle" of the Department of Refrigeration Technology was honored by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor with the Creative Labor Certificate.
Speaking at the Congress, Ms. Pham Thi Thanh Hien - Member of the Standing Committee of the Can Tho City Labor Federation, Deputy Head of the City Trade Union Work Committee - acknowledged and highly appreciated the efforts to overcome difficulties with many valuable results of the Executive Committee, members, and employees at Can Tho Vocational College.
Entering the new term, facing many opportunities and challenges, the Deputy Head of the City Trade Union Work Committee oriented the school Trade Union to continue to care for the lives of union members and employees in the transition period; Accompany the Board of Directors to create a breakthrough in training; Strengthen emulation towards substantial products, linking digital transformation, linking business needs and linking production practices.
The Congress elected 9 comrades to the Executive Committee of the new term Trade Union; elected 1 official delegate and 1 alternate delegate to attend the 1st Congress of the Can Tho City Trade Union, term 2025-2030. Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trung is the Chairman of the Trade Union of Can Tho Vocational College, term 2025-2030.
