On November 26, the Trade Union of Duc Thanh Import-Export Garment Company Limited held the 6th Congress, term 2025 - 2030 with the participation of 55 delegates, representing 1,209 union members of the whole company.
Over the past term, the Duc Thanh Company Trade Union has closely coordinated with the Board of Directors to synchronously implement regimes and policies to care for workers' lives. 100% of employees are signed labor contracts, fully covered by insurance according to regulations; are provided with labor protection, improve working conditions; salaries and bonuses are increased according to production and business efficiency.
The grassroots trade union visited and subsidized union members when they were sick, on holidays, or in difficult circumstances with a total budget of over 350 million VND; took care of Tet and major holidays with more than 2 billion VND; organized traditional activities such as the Garment Group Meeting, Company Establishment Commemoration with more than 600 million VND; and organized tours and tours for domestic and foreign workers, improving their spiritual life.
In particular, the workers' housing model has been implemented methodically and humanely, including an apartment complex with more than 100 apartments for rent at subsidized prices and a residential area with over 200 houses for sale in installments without interest. The company also purchased life insurance, a subsidy of 2 months' salary upon retirement, organized intensive periodic health check-ups and screening for serious diseases by age group.
The company and the Trade Union also actively participate in social security work, building bridges, solidarity houses, supporting education promotion funds, funds for the poor and people affected by natural disasters with a total budget of over 3 billion VND.
Emulation movements are widely launched in conjunction with production and business tasks such as "Good worker - Creative worker", "Good at public work - good at housework", "Green - clean - beautiful, ensuring occupational safety and health" according to the 4 no-no standards: "no heat, no noise, no dust, no smoke", thereby building a healthy, friendly living environment, truly united and united among union members and workers. Through the movements, the Trade Union and the Board of Directors of the company have rewarded over 1 billion VND.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Do Tran Thinh - Chairman of the An Giang Provincial Federation of Labor - highly appreciated the outstanding results of the grassroots trade union, especially the creative way of caring for workers' lives through the housing model. Mr. Thinh emphasized that in the context of many fluctuations in the socio-economy, trade unions need to continue to be a reliable support for union members and workers, proactively grasp the thoughts and aspirations, advise business leaders on solutions to protect rights, improve the quality of grassroots democracy, build harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations.
Entering the 2025 - 2030 term, the Congress has identified key goals: Over 90% of workers have contracts to join the Trade Union; 100% of trade union officials are trained and fostered in professional skills; Maintain a periodic dialogue at least twice a year; Regular health check-ups twice a year; Visit tourism at least once a year;...
The Congress elected 9 members of the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union for the new term. Mr. Nguyen Minh Triet was re-elected as Chairman of the Company's Trade Union for the 2025 - 2030 term.
