According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, in the first quarter of 2026, trade union levels focused on developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions, achieving many specific results, contributing to consolidating the organization.
In the quarter, the whole province newly developed 261 union members, established 5 grassroots trade unions, and dissolved 5 unsuitable grassroots trade unions. Guidance and appraisal of procedures were carried out strictly and in accordance with regulations.
Currently, the Provincial Labor Federation manages 627 grassroots trade unions and professional unions, with 174,352 union members out of a total of 184,905 workers, continuing to affirm the core role of the trade union organization.
Propaganda work is deployed synchronously, associated with thoroughly grasping the Resolution of the 14th Party Congress and the election of National Assembly deputies of the 16th term, People's Councils at all levels for the 2026-2031 term.
The whole province organized 1,620 propaganda sessions with about 59,500 participants; built 23 communication products about elections, attracting over 280,000 visits on digital platforms.
Through propaganda, trade union levels promptly grasp the thoughts and public opinion among union members and workers related to the Party Congress Resolution and election work, contributing to stabilizing the situation.
Labor relations in the area are basically stable, businesses maintain production, create jobs; 2 collective work stoppages have been recorded and have been coordinated and handled promptly, without allowing complications to arise.
The Provincial Labor Federation has organized delegations to visit businesses and give gifts directly at the grassroots level, with a total of 8,804 gifts, with a total budget of over 3.8 billion VND, and many meaningful programs continue to be widely implemented.
In addition, activities on March 8th were organized enthusiastically, awarding 790 gifts with a total budget of 395 million VND, contributing to caring for life and creating cohesion among union members and workers.
Besides the achieved results, some grassroots trade unions have not widely propagated; participation in conferences, reporting regime, and finalization in some units are still limited and need to be overcome in the coming time.
