In recent years, the movement "Good workers, creative workers" has become a bright spot in the union activities of Da Nang city.
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, President of the Da Nang City Labor Federation - said that thanks to this movement, hundreds of initiatives have been implemented each year, bringing profits of hundreds of billions of VND to businesses, contributing to increasing productivity and improving production efficiency, contributing to the overall development of the city.
Mr. Duong Van Boi - a maintenance staff at Lovepop Vietnam Co., Ltd. - is a typical example of the "Good worker, creative worker" movement in Da Nang. Graduated from Dong Phuong College in 2012, he worked in Binh Duong for 6 years before returning to Da Nang and joining Lovepop in 2018.
As the head of the technical team, Mr. Boi has implemented many automation projects, especially the design of feeder machines and automatic paperymetry sets, helping to reduce labor and increase productivity, while ensuring labor safety. Thanks to this initiative, the company's productivity has increased significantly, meeting the requirements of international customers.
Along with Mr. Nam, Mr. Dang Thanh Thao, Head of the Electrical and Mechanical Team of Asia Architecture and Trade Company Limited, is also an example of creative labor. Investment in technology and initiatives has helped the company take the lead in the production of high-quality packaging paper in the Central - Western region.
For 2 consecutive years, Mr. Thao has researched and proposed two major initiatives: the sale paper length measurement system and upgrading the Vecni coating machine, bringing significant efficiency in saving raw materials and increasing productivity.
With outstanding contributions, Mr. Thao has been continuously rewarded and recognized by businesses as a typical example in the emulation movement for good labor and creative labor.
Request not to interrupt the movement
In reality, the harmonious combination of workers and businesses is a solid foundation to help Da Nang maintain economic development momentum, while building a harmonious and sustainable production environment.
Over the years, trade unions at all levels have closely coordinated with enterprises, implementing many creative ways to comprehensively care for union members and workers. Activities not only focus on improving material life but also focus on improving spiritual life. Thanks to that, workers actively participate in building and developing businesses, especially through emulation movements such as "Good workers, creative workers" and "Good advice, good service".
From July 1, the Labor Federations of the two localities, Da Nang and Quang Nam province, will officially merge. And the movement "Good workers, creative workers", accordingly, is expected to be promoted more strongly.
According to Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Vice Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the city, Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, from the beginning of 2025, the movement "Good workers, creative workers" has been strongly implemented by trade unions at all levels in Da Nang city and the old Quang Nam province, especially enthusiastically in non-state enterprises.
In the first 6 months of the year, many trade unions held conferences to honor outstanding union members and workers, creating a vibrant competitive atmosphere, spreading a spirit of creativity, responsibility, discipline, and unanimously overcoming difficulties. After the merger, the City Labor Federation directed the commune and ward trade unions to quickly grasp the situation at the grassroots level, inherit the results of previous instructions, promptly support and support the movement without interruption, continue to develop strongly and spread widely.
We encourage each grassroots union to proactively propose to businesses policies to support and honor creative workers, both encouraging material and spiritual things and creating long-term motivation. At the same time, focus on building a modern and humane working environment, where workers feel proud, confident in contributing and developing" - Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh said.
According to Ms. Linh, the Da Nang City Labor Federation will maintain the work of promptly rewarding and praising outstanding collectives and individuals, arousing passion for creativity, making practical contributions to the sustainable development of Da Nang, improving competitiveness and the image of a livable city.
