Initiatives are no longer small improvements
One of the highlights of Trade Union activities in Da Nang in the first 6 months of 2026 is the strong spread of the creative labor emulation movement in businesses and units.
According to a report by the Da Nang City Labor Federation, trade union levels have implemented many activities in response to the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement, encouraging union members and workers to propose initiatives, technical improvements, rationalize production and apply science and technology to practice.
The results showed that the rate of union members participating in proposing initiatives reached over 10%, of which at least 30% of the initiatives were applied by businesses in practice.
In addition, there are 54 initiatives focusing on improving occupational safety and health conditions at the workplace; two individuals were proposed to be awarded the Creative Labor Medal by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
The above figures reflect a change in workers' awareness. If previously initiatives were mainly small improvements to save raw materials or shorten production time, now many ideas have been directed towards solving larger problems such as automation, digital transformation, improving governance quality and ensuring labor safety.
From production lines to digital technology
A prominent new point in this year's initiative movement is the increasing appearance of technology solutions researched and developed by union members and workers themselves.
Typically, 6 typical technology products were selected by the Da Nang City Labor Federation to participate in the exhibition at the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress.
These are all solutions originating from production, management and life practices including: AIoT application solution in high-tech shrimp farming; smart camera monitoring system for the use of labor protection equipment; digital transformation model in management at the commune level and many digital solutions serving management, administration and production.
The fact that technology products of Da Nang union members are selected to be introduced at a major event of the Vietnam Trade Union organization shows that the quality of the creative labor movement has had a new development step, no longer limited to the scope of each business but aiming for the ability to replicate.
According to Mr. Le Van Dai, Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation, the above results were achieved thanks to the Trade Union levels proactively innovating the content and methods of organizing emulation movements, linking creative labor with the requirement to improve productivity, quality and production efficiency.
Encouraging union members to apply science and technology, digital transformation, and at the same time promptly praising and replicating typical initiatives has created motivation for workers to boldly innovate and be creative in labor production.
In the context of strong digital transformation, the creative labor movement in Da Nang is also entering a new stage of development.
From innovation initiatives on production lines to solutions applying artificial intelligence, data and digital technology, Da Nang workers are proving that they are not only the direct force that creates material wealth but also the subject of innovation.
This is also the foundation for the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement of the Da Nang City Labor Federation to continue to spread, contributing to building a team of modern workers, mastering technology and accompanying the sustainable development of businesses and the city.
