Nearly 13 billion VND to support union members
According to Mr. Dang Ngoc Anh, Phu Yen currently has 54,694 workers and civil servants, including 45,321 union members, with 932 grassroots unions.
Last year, Phu Yen Labor Federation completed 10/11 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; the targets and tasks of the Union's activities in 2024 were basically achieved and exceeded.
In particular, Phu Yen Trade Union at all levels has done a good job of taking care of and ensuring jobs, wages, and legitimate and legal rights of union members and workers. 708/708 agencies and units organized Conferences of Civil Servants and Employees, 131/154 qualified enterprises organized Conferences of Workers, 174/154 enterprises built regulations on democracy at the workplace, and 134/154 enterprises organized dialogues at the workplace.
There are 146/206 enterprises that have negotiated, signed and implemented collective labor agreements (CLAs). Of these, 118/146 units that have signed CLAs include the content of implementing shift meals for employees; 65 units proposed and negotiated with employers to increase the value of shift meals from 18,000 VND or more. The "Union Meal" program was launched at 9 enterprise-level unions with 5,006 union members benefiting, with an average meal value of 78,000 VND/meal.
During the year, the provincial Trade Unions at all levels visited and presented 49,605 gifts to support union members, workers, and fishermen in difficult circumstances, with serious illnesses and work-related accidents, with a total amount of nearly 13 billion VND. Supported union members with funding to build 10 "Union Shelters" and gratitude houses with a total amount of 520 million VND.
Trade unions at all levels in the province have also developed 4,200 union members, established 29 new grassroots unions, including 9 grassroots unions at enterprises with over 25 employees and 8 grassroots unions.
Make a breakthrough in union development
The theme of activities set by Phu Yen Trade Union in 2025 is "focus on developing union members; participate in building a clean and strong Party".
"The Standing Committee of the Provincial Federation of Labor has approved 9 key tasks and 10 implementation solutions. In the immediate future, unions at all levels will focus resources on implementing activities to take care of Tet and Workers' Month for union members and workers," Mr. Ngoc Anh informed.
In 2025, the Provincial Federation of Labor will focus on developing, promulgating and implementing action programs and programs, projects, plans, and implementing tasks towards the goals, tasks, 16 target groups, and 3 breakthroughs of the Resolution of the 11th Congress of Phu Yen Trade Union.
At the same time, deploy solutions to "Improve the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining, period 2024 - 2028". Coordinate with local Party committees and authorities to pay attention to stabilizing employment and ensuring income for union members and workers.
Enhance welfare and attract and gather workers into trade unions. Develop and issue plans to create breakthroughs in developing union members and establishing grassroots trade unions to be implemented in the new period.
