On the occasion of the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, a delegation from the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation visited and presented Tet gifts to union members and workers (NLĐ) in difficult circumstances in the Phu Quoc special zone.
Thereby showing the practical concern and care of the Trade Union organization, contributing to encouraging the spirit of union members and workers to celebrate a warm and meaningful Tet.
At the visiting locations, leaders of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation cordially inquired about the living and working situation of union members and workers, and at the same time acknowledged their efforts and contributions to the development of businesses and localities.
The total number of gifts presented is 1,146 sets (including cash and gifts), each set worth 1 million VND. Among them, 1,130 sets were presented to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who had labor accidents, suffered from occupational diseases, had reduced working hours, lost jobs... and 16 sets of gifts were presented to union members and workers in difficult circumstances working in environmental sanitation; union members, medical staff working on New Year's Eve.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Huong, a union member of NewWorld Phu Quoc Resort Trade Union, shared: "Today I received a gift from the Trade Union, which is very meaningful and practical for union members' lives. I also see timely concern for Tet to be more joyful.
Grassroots trade unions at enterprises also expressed their joy and excitement at the concern of the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation through visiting and giving gifts to union members and workers at enterprises. Especially union members in difficult circumstances, helping to share some of their lives, especially for workers far from home, feeling warm and affectionate during the Lunar New Year.
Mr. Vu Dinh Thuy, Chairman of the grassroots trade union of Sun Hospitality Group Company, Bac Bai Khem Branch, expressed: "The Provincial Labor Federation visiting, wishing Tet, and giving gifts to union members in difficult circumstances is truly a very meaningful activity. This is joy and motivation for us to strive harder to better care for the lives of union members and workers.
According to the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union, there are 108 grassroots trade unions with 11,941 union members in the area, most of which are grassroots trade unions at enterprises. Activities to visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances have shown the role of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights of union members and workers. Thereby, spreading the spirit of solidarity and sharing, helping union members and workers in difficult circumstances to feel warmer and more confidently attached to businesses and trade union organizations.
