On July 27, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor announced that it had organized the acceptance and handover of 2 Trade Union Shelters to union members in difficult circumstances working at enterprises in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks.
The two union members who received house support this time are Ms. Pham Thi Hoa - a worker at Kingmaker III Company Limited (Vietnam) Footwear and Mr. Pham Duy Viet - a driver at Pha Din Joint Stock Company. The support level from the Trade Union Shelter program of the Provincial Labor Federation is 50 million VND/house.
Ms. Pham Thi Hoa is in especially difficult circumstances: both husband and wife are workers, have low incomes, and are raising two young children. Her new house is a level 4 house, with an area of 100m2, with a total construction cost of 350 million VND.
Mr. Pham Duy Viet is the main breadwinner in the family of an old mother, wife, young children and younger brother. With an unstable income, he has not had the conditions to build a house. Thanks to the efforts of himself, his family, relatives and the support of the Provincial Labor Federation, Mr. Viet has a new, spacious house with a total construction cost of 330 million VND.
Supporting the construction of new houses and handover of houses not only helps union members stabilize their housing and work with peace of mind, but also demonstrates the practical and humane concern of the Trade Union organization for workers. This is one of the activities to celebrate the Party Congresses at all levels and celebrate the 96th anniversary of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025).
