On September 8, the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation announced that it had organized a ceremony to admit union members and establish grassroots trade unions at 5 enterprises in the western region of the province. Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hien - Vice President of the Provincial Labor Federation attended and presented the decisions.

At the ceremony, the Provincial Labor Federation announced and awarded decisions to establish 5 grassroots trade unions, admitting 100 workers working at enterprises, including: Truong Thinh Energy Joint Stock Company; Hang Thuan Tay Nguyen Co., Ltd.; Trung Viet Co., Ltd.; Hai Lien KT One Member Co., Ltd. and Vietnam Herbal Medicine Cooperative.
Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hien highly appreciated the coordination and facilitation of the leaders of 5 enterprises; and thanked the boards of directors of units for their concern and companionship with the Trade Union organization.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hien emphasized that the companionship of businesses not only shows concern for production and business efficiency but also focuses on caring for life, protecting legitimate and lawful rights and interests, and building a stable working environment for workers.
In the coming time, Ms. Nguyen Thi Viet Hien hopes that the leaders of enterprises will continue to pay attention, support, and create favorable conditions in terms of time and facilities for the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union to operate effectively and perform well the assigned functions and tasks.
For grassroots trade unions, it is necessary to proactively develop working regulations and operating programs; closely coordinate with businesses, and urgently develop operating regulations of the Executive Committee and regulations on trade union financial revenue and expenditure in accordance with regulations.

In particular, grassroots trade unions need to proactively coordinate with business boards to effectively implement democracy regulations at the workplace; focus on caring for and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; preside over negotiations, signing and effectively implementing collective labor agreements.
On this occasion, the Provincial Labor Federation presented 10 gifts, each worth 1 million VND, to workers and laborers in difficult circumstances.
