On August 5, in an exchange with a reporter from Lao Dong Newspaper, a representative of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Shoe Co., Ltd. said that it had just launched a Legal Consulting Group for workers to improve the effectiveness of legal support, protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of union members and workers.
A legal advisory group is established to receive, advise and answer contents that workers often care about such as labor law, social insurance, regimes, policies, safety, occupational hygiene, business regulations, as well as receive recommendations and feedback arising during the working process.
Ms. Trinh Thi Nguyet - Chairwoman of the Trade Union of Alena Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the establishment of a legal advisory group is one of the solutions to improve the quality of representing and protecting union members in the context of increasingly diverse labor relations.
Members of the team are assigned according to each professional field, helping to advise on the right content, promptly and effectively. Through this, workers are supported to remove obstacles right from the time they arise, limit labor disputes and contribute to building harmonious and stable labor relations in the enterprise.
According to Mr. Luong Trong Thanh - Chairman of Thanh Hoa Provincial Labor Federation, the launch of the "Law Advisory Group" model at grassroots trade unions in enterprises has initially brought many practical effects. Thereby creating a reliable address for workers and laborers to be consulted, reflect their recommendations and remove obstacles early through dialogue on the basis of law.
Along with that, the legal advisory group also contributes to raising awareness and legal compliance of union members and workers; and at the same time affirms the role of the Trade Union organization in accompanying, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers, towards building a stable and sustainable working environment.
