On April 24, Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation organized the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month, Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health in 2026. At the same time, commended grassroots trade union presidents who are typical in dialogue, collective bargaining and giving gifts to support union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have suffered from work accidents and occupational diseases.
Attending the launching ceremony were Mr. Phan Van Anh - Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, who attended and delivered a directing speech at the launching ceremony, and Ms. Dinh Thi Lua - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ninh Binh province, along with representatives of leaders of departments, agencies, and branches of Ninh Binh province and more than 1,000 union members and workers in the province.
At the launching ceremony, delegates together reviewed the tradition of struggle of the working class and workers around the world for the goal of peace, social progress and the legitimate rights and interests of workers. Thereby, affirming the great role of the Vietnamese working class in the revolutionary process of the nation under the leadership of the Communist Party of Vietnam.
Mr. Nguyen Hai Long - Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairman of the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation said that in Workers' Month 2026, Trade Union levels in the province will focus on effectively implementing a number of key contents, which is to launch and implement a peak emulation period in Workers' Month, Labor Safety and Hygiene Action Month 2026 in accordance with the actual situation of each locality, unit, and enterprise.
In which, focus on effectively implementing emulation movements to improve qualifications, professional knowledge, skills and organize "Creative Labor Day 2026", honoring and commending workers with achievements in labor and production with many initiatives and innovations.
Strengthen dialogue, promote democracy at the grassroots level through the "May Dialogue" Program. Review, amend, and supplement Collective Labor Agreements with terms that are more beneficial to workers.
Organizing the forum "Union members contribute ideas to build the Vietnam Trade Union in the new era" creates a widespread political activity among union members and workers before the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union.
Continue to do better in taking care of the material and spiritual life of union members and workers. Organize activities to visit and give gifts to union members and workers in difficult circumstances, suffering from occupational diseases, work accidents and organize "Trade Union Meals" to improve the quality of lunch meals...
Promote the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions, paying attention to fostering and discovering outstanding workers to introduce to Party committees for consideration and admission. Strengthen coordination with levels, sectors and employers in ensuring labor safety and hygiene.
For grassroots trade unions, promoting the motto "Each grassroots trade union - one benefit for union members", the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union proactively coordinates with employers to choose to organize at least one practical activity to care for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers, creating a spreading effect throughout society.
Speaking to direct at the launching ceremony, on behalf of the Presidium of the VGCL, Vice President Phan Van Anh praised and highly appreciated the achievements that the team of workers, civil servants, laborers and trade union levels in Ninh Binh province have achieved in the past time.
Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour Phan Van Anh requested trade union levels in Ninh Binh province to continue to promote propaganda activities among union members and workers about the meaning of International Labor Day. Focus on propaganda about the content of activities in Workers' Month and Action Month on occupational safety and health.
Continue to promote the patriotic emulation movement, improve labor productivity and quality. In the context of the developing economy but still facing many difficulties and challenges, the Trade Union organization needs to strongly promote its role in accompanying businesses, encouraging and motivating employees to actively participate in patriotic emulation movements, focusing on the "Good Labor, Creative Labor" movement, improving professional qualifications and skills, applying science and technology, and innovation.
Strengthen dialogue, promote democracy through the "May Dialogue" Program, the Trade Union organization advises heads of Party committees, authorities, and business owners at the same level to contact and dialogue with union members and workers, ensuring that the voices of workers are listened to and absorbed.
Consolidate and improve the quality of grassroots trade union activities, promote the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots trade unions and introducing outstanding trade union members for the Party to consider and admit.
Pay attention to occupational safety and health. Trade unions at all levels need to proactively participate in building and supervising the implementation of safe working procedures and measures; improve working conditions, reduce pressure and stress at the workplace. This is not only an urgent requirement but also a decisive factor in the sustainable development of businesses and society.
On this occasion, the Ninh Binh Provincial Labor Federation commended 140 typical grassroots trade union presidents in dialogue and collective bargaining work. At the same time, it presented gifts to support 140 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who suffered from labor accidents and occupational diseases with a total amount of 140 million VND.
