On April 29, An Giang Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Department of Home Affairs to organize the Launching Ceremony of Workers' Month and Action Month on Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) in 2026 with the theme "Vietnamese Workers: Innovation, improving labor productivity" and "Innovating management and improving the effectiveness of OSH work in the digital age" at Thanh Loc Industrial Park.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation Do Tran Thinh said: In the past time, under the leadership of the Provincial Party Committee and the close coordination of the government, sectors, levels and the business community, the Trade Union organization of An Giang province has constantly innovated the content and methods of operation, strongly focusing on grassroots levels, and practically caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers (NLĐ). Many timely and effective support programs have helped workers overcome difficulties and stabilize their lives; emulation movements, especially "Good labor, creative labor" have been widely deployed, contributing to improving productivity and production and business efficiency.
The Chairman of the Provincial Labor Federation called on all union members and workers to promote the spirit of responsibility, discipline, and industrial style; be attached to businesses as their common home; actively propose initiatives, technical improvements, cost savings, and improve production and business efficiency.
Each union member and worker should take specific and practical actions in their daily work to respond to "Workers' Month", "Moment of Action on Occupational Safety and Health", and achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress and the Vietnam Fatherland Front Congress - important political milestones, opening up a new stage of development for the country and the Trade Union organization," Mr. Thinh emphasized.
At the ceremony, Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Le Van Phuoc also acknowledged, praised and highly appreciated the efforts and important contributions of the Trade Union organization, the business community and all workers, civil servants, and employees to the overall development of the province in the past time.

The Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee requested trade union levels, the business community and all union members and workers in the province to continue to promote the spirit of responsibility, proactively innovate strongly and more comprehensively the content and methods of operation to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation. Trade union levels need to continue to clearly affirm their role as a solid and reliable representative organization of union members and workers; proactively grasp the ideological situation, life, and jobs, promptly advise and propose to Party committees and authorities practical and effective solutions to care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.
It is proposed that the business community continue to accompany the government and the Trade Union organization to pay attention to caring for the material and spiritual life, ensuring jobs, stable income, and improving working conditions for workers. Strengthen dialogue, sharing, building a safe, civilized, and modern working environment; proactively innovate governance, improve competitiveness, and link business development with social responsibility," Mr. Phuoc emphasized.

The Provincial Labor Federation awarded Certificates of Merit to 20 outstanding and typical grassroots trade union officials in dialogue and collective bargaining work.

In particular, the Provincial Labor Federation has proactively directed trade union levels to focus resources on timely care and support for union members and workers in difficult circumstances suffering from serious illnesses, labor accidents, and occupational diseases. Specifically for the provincial level, 2,000 allowances will be supported with a total amount of 1 billion VND, from trade union funds.
