On April 15, at TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company (Phu Hoa commune, An Giang province), the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and the company's grassroots Trade Union to organize the 2026 Voluntary Blood Donation Day, responding to the Day for Workers' Health.
The program attracted a large number of union members, workers, and laborers to participate, receiving 99 units of blood, contributing to supplementing blood sources to serve emergency and treatment of patients at medical facilities in the province.
This is the first time voluntary blood donation activities have been organized directly at TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company. With the characteristic that the female labor force accounts for about 70%, in the first implementation, many union members and workers are still hesitant to participate, causing no small difficulties in mobilization work, and the initial participation rate is still limited.
Ms. Nguyen Hai Thao, a company worker, shared: "Being propagated and mobilized by the Trade Union, I participated in blood donation. I am very happy to be able to contribute a small part to help those in need of blood transfusion. I hope that the program will continue to be organized at the company so that many workers can participate.

According to Mr. Nguyen Son Luan - Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company, organizing blood donation at enterprises is an important starting point to raise awareness and build the habit of participating in community activities among workers. "We expect that after this program, each volunteer will become a positive propaganda nucleus, mobilizing more colleagues to participate in subsequent organizations," Mr. Luan said.
Responding to the voluntary blood donation program in 2026, to date, the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation has coordinated with the Provincial Red Cross Society and grassroots trade unions to organize 6 blood donation drives, receiving over 898 units of blood. The collected blood has been and is making an important contribution to meeting the needs of treatment and emergency care at medical facilities.
In recent years, the voluntary blood donation movement among workers in An Giang province has always been concerned and implemented by Trade Union levels with many appropriate and practical forms. Through propaganda and mobilization, more and more union members and workers actively participate, considering this as a specific action showing the spirit of mutual affection and responsibility to the community.
The voluntary blood donation program at TBS An Giang Joint Stock Company continues to contribute to spreading the message of love and sharing among workers; and at the same time create a vibrant emulation atmosphere to respond to the 2026 Voluntary Blood Donation Day and the Day for Workers' Health, actively contributing to social security work in the province.
