The Lixil Vietnam Co., Ltd. workers' cultural activity point was invested and built by the company with a total cost of nearly 400 million VND, of which the Hanoi City Labor Federation supported 90 million VND; Gia Lam District Labor Federation donated 500 books and stories. The workers' cultural activity point is the place to organize many events and cultural activities of the company's trade union, thereby improving the spiritual life of union members and workers, contributing to creating an exciting atmosphere, competing in labor production to complete the company's tasks...
What is special here is that along with the establishment of the Workers' Cultural Activity Point, the Gia Lam District Labor Federation directed the company's Trade Union Executive Committee to build a "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space". With the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space", union members and workers will have a deeper understanding of the life, career and spirit of President Ho Chi Minh so that each person can promote the spirit of studying and following Ho Chi Minh's moral example in the most practical way. This is one of the effective ways to propagate and educate union members and workers.
The establishment of the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" has been directed by the Capital Trade Union at some units, but there have not been many cases of combining the launch and implementation of the Workers' Cultural Activity Point and the "Ho Chi Minh Cultural Space" at a 100% foreign-owned enterprise. The reality at Lixil Vietnam Co., Ltd. shows that the combination of the two cultural models at the enterprise demonstrates the coordination between the trade union at all levels and the employer in caring for the lives of workers, thereby contributing to increasing productivity and production and business efficiency. To achieve this, first of all, the grassroots trade union must grasp the needs of union members and workers, especially the need to improve their spiritual life. This is the basis for mobilizing business owners to invest more in facilities for the above models.
These grassroots cultural institutions are being deployed and maintained effectively by the Capital Trade Union to improve the cultural and spiritual life of workers in enterprises, industrial parks and areas with a large concentration of workers. Currently, in the whole city of Hanoi, there are 67 worker cultural activity points operating effectively, creating attraction and attracting workers to participate in activities.
