On June 22, thousands of Iranian people poured into the streets of the capital Tehran to protest the US airstrike on June 21, targeting three Iranian nuclear facilities including Fordow, Natanz and Isfahan.
People called on the government to take action in response, shouting the slogan "We are ready for the big battle".
In addition to the banners against the US, several other strikers raised portraits of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei to show solidarity with the Tehran government.
Most of the demonstrators flocked to Enghelag Square - the center of Tehran - to express their opposition to the Washington government as well as US President Donald Trump.
Notably, local media reported that the protest was also attended by Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian.
Video circulating on social media shows Mr. Pezeshkian joining the ranks of protests. Alongside him were a few bodyguards trying to stop the crowd to ensure the safety of the President.
The US airstrike on June 21 was declared by President Trump as a "mental success", affirming that this was "a long way" in protecting close allies in the Middle East from "horrific threats" - referring to Iran's nuclear program.
Although the US leader affirmed that Iran's key nuclear enrichment facilities were completely and completely destroyed, there has been no confirmation of damage from Tehran.
Meanwhile, Iran's Red crossborder Moon Association said nearly a dozen people were injured, including four who were hospitalized in US strikes on three nuclear sites.
