Bringing a warm Tet to difficult places
In the days leading up to the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026, the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" has been implemented by Vietnam Railways Corporation and the Vietnam Railway Trade Union to many stations and remote railway tracks.
Moreover, these are also places that suffered heavy damage after storms and floods.

Directly present at many stations and areas heavily affected by the historic storm in November 2025 in Dak Lak, Mr. Ha Trong Thang - Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union cordially visited, encouraged and presented Tet gifts to union members and workers who are day and night sticking to the line, maintaining the North-South railway traffic route.
According to Mr. Thang, with the motto "All union members and workers have Tet, celebrate Tet", Vietnam Railways Corporation and the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union have issued a plan to care for workers' lives and organize safe transportation during the Binh Ngo Lunar New Year 2026.

At Chi Thanh station (Tuy An Bac commune) and La Hai (Dong Xuan commune), the working atmosphere during Tet peak days is urgent. Many officials and employees, even though their houses are flooded in floods, still do not neglect their duties. Some infrastructure items of the station have not been completely repaired to date.
Recognizing those efforts, the Chairman of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union presented Tet Sum vay gifts, wishing to add warmth to the year-end meal of officials and employees here.
Touched by the temporary bridge after the flood
In the temporary bridge area Km1136+750 – Km1137+050 (Lanh Van village, Xuan Lanh commune), where workers of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company are on duty to maintain and patrol the road in conditions that are still lacking and temporary.
Mr. Ha Trong Thang expressed his emotion at the sense of responsibility of the workers.

These routes are vital for railway transport during the peak Tet holiday. The Trade Union always accompanies so that workers are not alone," Mr. Thang shared.
At Phuoc Lanh station (Xuan Lanh commune, Dak Lak) on the afternoon of January 29, the spring atmosphere came early to the collective workers of the station area when the program "Tet Sum vay - Spring of Gratitude to the Party" was organized here for the first time.
The program was attended by leaders of railway units in the area, union members, and workers of the Phuoc Lanh station Union. Especially 39 union members in difficult circumstances, 9 collectives on New Year's Eve duty, along with policy families and families with meritorious services to the revolution in the locality.
Mr. Pham Nguyen Chien - Director of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company said that just two months ago, this station area was once a "logistic base" for more than 200 workers urgently constructing temporary bridges, ensuring traffic through the North-South route after storms and floods.

According to Mr. Dao Canh Hop - Head of Phuoc Lanh Station, 2026 is a year of special significance, opening the 5-year plan 2026–2030 and towards celebrating the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam Railways industry's tradition.
In addition to ensuring train safety, the units have fully implemented salary, bonus, and job regimes for nearly 40 workers in the station area.

In the program, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union presented Tet gifts to employees of Phu Khanh Railway Joint Stock Company; supported train tickets for 8 union members to return to their hometowns for Tet; presented gifts to 6 union members in difficult circumstances; and presented gifts to 3 policy families.
Meaningful gifts have contributed to adding motivation for workers to feel secure in sticking to the route, ensuring safety and smooth operation for train trips during Tet.
