In 2025, although the production and business situation at some enterprises still faced difficulties and shortages of orders, Quang Ngai Trade Union levels have made efforts to protect the rights of 92,017 union members. According to the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation, this unit has exceeded all 11 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Typical examples include developing 5,033 new union members (reaching 100.7%); introducing 573 outstanding union members to the Party (reaching 144.3%); in particular, the target of negotiating adjustments to increase the value of shift meals reached a record 453.3% with 68 units successfully implementing.
Livelihood care activities are being implemented on an unprecedented scale. Total disbursed funds reached over 73.63 billion VND, serving 143,370 turns of union members and workers during Tet. In which, 120 "Trade Union Homes" were newly built and repaired with a cost of 5.08 billion VND; disbursed 1.8 billion VND of the Capital Support Fund for poor workers. In addition, the "Trade Union Meal" program for 4,213 workers with a spending level of 50,000 VND - 85,000 VND/meal has truly created great trust in workers' hearts.
In particular, the historical milestone is the completion of dissolution of grassroots trade union organizations receiving budget salaries, merging and consolidating the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation (new) in a streamlined and effective direction.
Digital skills breakthrough
Stepping into 2026, the Quang Ngai Provincial Labor Federation identifies 12 key task groups, taking the implementation of the Resolution of the Trade Union Congresses at all levels as a guiding principle. One of the most important highlights is the "Digital literacy for all" campaign. The Provincial Trade Union will coordinate with businesses to build a "learning business" model, retraining digital skills, foreign languages and soft skills for workers to adapt to new technologies.
The goal is not only to increase productivity but also to help union members improve their actual income. Along with that, the emulation movement "The whole country emulations for innovation and digital transformation" will be concretized by digital solutions in management and operation of trade union activities.
Another key task in 2026 is to focus on developing union members in the informal sector - an area that still has a lot of room but is full of challenges. The Provincial Labor Federation will innovate the method of admission and build a core collaborator network to attract freelance workers and fishermen to join the union.
In terms of social security, the Trade Union will continue to pursue the social housing project for workers to rent and prepare carefully for the 2026 Binh Ngo Tet. In particular, 2026 is also the year of the election of National Assembly deputies of the XVI term and People's Councils at all levels; the Provincial Trade Union will focus on propaganda and mobilization of union members to exercise citizen rights associated with the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union.
With the foundation from the "talking" figures of 2025, Quang Ngai Trade Union is determined to innovate leadership methods, promote the application of technology to truly be the most solid support for workers in the new situation.
