At the launching ceremony of Workers' Month and March for Labor Safety and Hygiene in 2025 held on April 26, Mr. Nguyen Dinh Khang emphasized that May is the festival of the working class and people around the world, affirming the historical mission, position and role of the working class in the struggle for peace, national independence and social progress.
In particular, since 2012, the Central Party Secretariat has decided to take May every year as Workers' Month and in 2016, the Prime Minister issued a decision to take May as " Month of Action on Occupational Safety and Hygiene".
Since then, May has become a Peak Month for organizing activities to care for union members and workers in all aspects, both materially, spiritually, safely and healthily, receiving deep attention from Party committees at all levels, authorities, employers, the response of many union members and workers, and having a positive impact on the whole society.
Chairman of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Nguyen Dinh Khang said that in 2024, in the context of many difficulties, under the leadership of the Party, the administration of the State, the coordination of the Fatherland Front, the Steering Committee of the Action Month on Safety, Hygiene and Hygiene of the Central and Trade Union organization at all levels have implemented many practical actions in response to the working month and the month of action on occupational safety and hygiene.
