Directing all activities towards workers
Workers' Month 2026 in Da Nang has left many imprints with a series of practical activities towards grassroots levels, caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said: one of the highlights is the meeting and dialogue between city leaders, leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and trade union officials, union members and workers.
The conference attracted 450 delegates to attend, receiving 46 opinions and recommendations related to housing, employment, income, working conditions, spiritual and cultural life and career development opportunities for workers. Many contents were recorded by city leaders and assigned to departments and branches to study and resolve according to a specific roadmap.
In parallel with dialogue activities, the work of caring for life continues to be emphasized. The City Labor Federation has supported 1,000 union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have been in labor accidents, suffer from serious illnesses or are affected by natural disasters and fires, with a support level of 1 million VND per case. At the same time, 20,000 free shopping vouchers were also awarded to union members in difficult circumstances participating in the 2026 Mobile Workers Fair.
The mobile worker fair continues to be a model positively received by workers. With 50 booths of 34 units, businesses, cooperatives and business households, the program brings many essential items with discounts from 10% to 50%, contributing to reducing the burden of spending for workers.
Many new models create strong spillover effects
Not only stopping at traditional care activities, Workers' Month this year also recorded many new models and creative ways of doing things implemented from the city to the grassroots level.
Typical examples are the "Quick Response Team" model coordinating between trade unions and local authorities to promptly grasp and handle issues arising in labor relations; the "Trade Union Arms - Loving Support Point" model; the "Doctors Accompany Trade Union Members and Workers" column; the "Raising Summer - Supporting Workers" program; or the models "Labor Safety Culture at the Workplace", "Trade Union Welfare - Workers' Smiles", "Trade Union Pig - Accompanying and Sharing".
Another bright spot is the maintenance and expansion of the "Self-managed Workers' Groups in Boarding Houses" model. In this year's Workers' Month, the City Labor Federation has established another group in Xuan Thieu 10 residential area with about 200 workers participating in activities. The model contributes to supporting workers far from home to stabilize their lives, improve their awareness of law compliance and maintain security and order in residential areas.
Along with that, activities to improve skills for workers are also being promoted. The 2026 Electronics Industry Skills Contest attracted 16 grassroots trade unions with 116 contestants participating. This is a professional playground to help workers improve professional skills, increase labor productivity and improve income.
Mr. Le Van Dai - Standing Vice Chairman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said that the activities of Workers' Month 2026 are implemented in the direction of taking union members and workers as the center, focusing on solving the most practical problems for workers today.

Many new models and effective ways of working have been formed and spread, contributing to better care for workers, building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in enterprises," Mr. Le Van Dai emphasized.
