Many practical life care programs
The Da Nang City Labor Federation has issued a plan to organize activities for Workers' Month and respond to the Action Month on occupational safety and health in 2026 with many specific contents.
Ms. Phan Thi Thuy Linh - Chairwoman of the Da Nang City Labor Federation said that this year's activities are built in a practical direction, closely following the actual needs of workers and with close coordination with businesses.
According to the plan, activities will be implemented from May 1st to May 31st, 2026 at trade union levels, businesses and industrial parks in the city, associated with the 140th anniversary of International Labor Day.
The life care group continues to be the focus, targeting union members and workers in difficult circumstances, who have had labor accidents, occupational diseases, pregnant female workers or those raising young children.
Programs to visit, give gifts, and support workers are widely implemented, combined with activities such as "Trade Union Meals" to improve the quality of lunch meals.
Trade unions at all levels coordinate with businesses to mobilize to improve the quality of meals, supplement meals for overtime workers or working in heavy and hazardous environments.
In addition, periodic health check-up programs, thematic check-ups for female workers, reproductive health counseling and psychological counseling are also organized.
Welfare booths and preferential sales programs in industrial parks and worker dormitories continue to be maintained to support workers in reducing living costs.
Strengthening dialogue and job support
In addition to caring for life, in Workers' Month 2026, trade union levels in Da Nang city also focus on organizing dialogue activities and job support for workers.
In which, noteworthy is the "May Dialogue" program expected to be organized with the participation of city leaders, business representatives and workers to listen to and resolve recommendations and proposals.
The forum "Union members contribute ideas to build Vietnam Trade Unions in the new era" was also organized by the Da Nang City Labor Federation to collect contributions from workers, serving the work of building trade union organizations.
Another notable content in Workers' Month 2026 in Da Nang is the "Skills Day - Sustainable Employment" program, where workers receive career counseling, access recruitment information and participate in skills enhancement training programs.
Da Nang city trade union levels will coordinate with businesses and employment service centers to organize direct connection activities between workers and employers.
In addition, cultural and sports activities such as workers' sports festivals and cultural festivals in industrial parks are also organized to improve spiritual life.
