At the Conference, the Standing Committee focused on discussing, giving opinions and unanimously approving important contents on organizational work, personnel and the operating plan of the trade union organization. The focus included the following contents: Reviewing, evaluating and ranking the quality of members of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union in the first quarter of 2026; the work of arranging the apparatus of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency; the work of implementing important Resolutions and Conclusions (Conclusion No. 221 of the Group Party Committee; Program to implement Resolution No. 57 on innovation and digital transformation in trade union activities); approving the draft Plan to organize activities for Workers' Month 2026 and other important activities.
The conference also devoted time to evaluating the results of key activities carried out in the first quarter of 2026, especially the work of taking care of Tet Nguyen Dan for the Tet duty force and supporting difficult units, remote and isolated areas; promoting emulation movements at key projects such as: Hoa Binh Hydropower Plant expansion, Ialy Hydropower Plant expansion, Quang Trach 1 Thermal Power Plant and urgent power transmission line projects...
Attending delegates highly agreed with the reports and draft documents submitted at the conference, and at the same time contributed many practical opinions related to policies for full-time trade union officials after arranging the apparatus, occupational safety and health, and improving the effectiveness of dialogue at the workplace.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Do Duc Hung requested professional departments to urgently complete the content of Workers' Month 2026. In which, it is necessary to pay special attention to organizing dialogue forums for union members and workers to participate in contributing opinions to build the Vietnam Trade Union organization in the new era.
Regarding the emulation movement, the Industry Trade Union continues to encourage the spirit of innovation with the goal of striving for 10% of union members and workers to have initiative proposals.
In particular, the entire system needs to actively participate in contributing opinions and promote propaganda for the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026-2031.
Previously, on March 23, the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union organized a Conference to deploy the organizational arrangement and announce decisions to appoint officials of professional departments of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency according to Decision No. 134/QD-TLD dated August 26, 2025.
Accordingly, based on Decision No. 134/QD-TLD dated August 26, 2025 of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor on approving the Project on arranging the organizational structure and staffing of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency. On March 19, the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union issued Decision No. 63/QD-CĐĐVN on arranging and consolidating the organizational structure of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency, including 2 professional departments: the Trade Union Affairs Committee on the basis of merging the Office and the inspection and supervision department under the Organization - Inspection Department; establishing the Labor Relations Department on the basis of merging the Legal Policy and Labor Relations Department, the Propaganda - Women's Affairs Department and the organizational and personnel department under the Organization - Inspection Department.
Functions and tasks of the Boards are implemented according to Decision No. 61/QD-CDDVN dated March 18 of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union on Regulations on functions, tasks, organizational structure and staffing of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency.
At the Conference, Ms. Tran Thi Hien, Deputy Head of the Labor Relations Department, announced the Decisions on appointing officials of professional departments of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency. In which, in Decision No. 65/QD-CĐĐVN dated March 23, 2026, appointing Mr. Nguyen Van Luong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term VII, term 2025-2030, former Head of the Propaganda - Women's Affairs Department to hold the position of Head of the Labor Relations Department of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.
In Decision No. 68/QD-CDVN dated March 23, 2026, Mr. Nguyen Van Phuong, Member of the Executive Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union, term VII, term 2025-2030, former Chief of Office, was appointed to the position of Head of the Trade Union Affairs Committee of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union.
Also at the Conference, decisions were announced to appoint Deputy Heads of the Trade Union Affairs Committee and the Labor Relations Committee after implementing the arrangement and merger to consolidate the organizational structure of the Vietnam Electricity Trade Union Agency.
