Accordingly, the ceremony announced the decision to establish the grassroots trade union branch of Phu Quoc International Airport Sun Group directly under the An Giang Provincial Labor Federation, admit 614 union members, and assign the Phu Quoc Special Zone Trade Union to monitor and manage. According to Mr. Nguyen Ba Quan, Director of the Port Branch, the establishment of grassroots trade unions at the unit is a very important event, showing the concern of the Party, State and Trade Union organization for the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; and at the same time affirming a new development step in the process of building and completing the organizational apparatus of the unit.
In the coming time, the leadership also hopes that the grassroots Trade Union will proactively coordinate closely with the unit's leaders in propagating and mobilizing union members to well comply with the Party's guidelines, the State's policies and laws and the group's internal regulations and rules. Effectively perform the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers.

Mr. Nguyen Nhat Tien - Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial Labor Federation said: The establishment of the grassroots trade union branch of Phu Quoc International Airport Sun Group shows the concern of trade union organizations at all levels, the consensus of employers and especially the legitimate aspiration of a large number of workers to have a legal representative organization to protect their legitimate rights and interests. This is also an important basis for building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations at the unit.
The Provincial Labor Federation acknowledged and highly appreciated the coordination and facilitation of unit leaders in propagating and mobilizing workers to participate in the Trade Union organization, as well as the efforts and sense of responsibility of union members in the past time.
Mr. Tien also requested the Executive Committee of the grassroots trade union, specifically the Chairman of the Trade Union, to be the representative of union members and workers, listen to the opinions of union members, and present the opinions and aspirations of union members to the Board of Directors and some other tasks.
