On April 29, Maystar II Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. (Hoa Hoi Industrial Park, Gia Lai) said that it had organized a Congress to establish a grassroots Trade Union and admitted 82 union members who are workers working at the company.
At the congress, the Mobilization Committee reported on the process of preparing for the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union. Maystar II Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. was inaugurated on March 10, 2026, and is currently recruiting workers and piloting a production line. The company's main business is export footwear production.
Speaking at the congress, Mr. Wan Peng - Director of Maystar II Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd. - said that the establishment of the grassroots Trade Union stems from the legitimate needs and aspirations of workers, and at the same time meets the requirements of stable and long-term development of the enterprise.
According to Mr. Wan Peng, the Trade Union organization will represent and care for and protect the legitimate and lawful rights and interests of workers; contributing to building harmonious and stable labor relations, limiting disputes arising in the production and business process.
Mr. Wan Peng committed to creating favorable conditions for the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union to operate in accordance with its functions and tasks according to the provisions of law and the Charter of the Vietnam Trade Union.
At the congress, 82 union members who applied to join the Trade Union organization elected the Executive Committee of the grassroots Trade Union for the 2026-2030 term, including 5 members.
In which, Ms. Nguyen Thi Hong Vien - Human Resources Manager of the company - was elected to hold the position of Chairman of the grassroots Trade Union of Maystar II Vietnam Footwear Co., Ltd.
