Young people build a city
The past half century has been a journey of strong changes in Ho Chi Minh City - from an urban area affected by war to a leading economic, cultural, scientific and technological center of the country. For young people - citizens born in peace and maturity in the digital age, they have made contributions to the development of the country in general and Ho Chi Minh City in particular over the past 50 years in many fields, from culture, arts, sports, scientific research to creative activities for society.
On March 23, 2025, the Central Committee of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union and the Vietnam Young Talent Support Fund held the 2024 Outstanding Young Faces of Vietnam Award Ceremony. This year's awards include 10 Outstanding Young Faces of Vietnam and 8 Promising Young Faces of Vietnam. In particular, singer Phuong My Chi received the Promising Young Faces of Vietnam award for her positive contributions to the field of culture and arts.
Previously, in early 2025, this 22-year-old female singer also received the title of Outstanding Young Citizen of Ho Chi Minh City in 2024 organized by the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union of Ho Chi Minh City. This is an award to honor typical young examples living, studying and working in Ho Chi Minh City with many achievements, making outstanding contributions to the overall development of the city.
