Grasping the recruitment trend of businesses, Mr. Ngo Bao Lam (Hung Yen), who graduated from Thuy Loi University, has been there for nearly a year but still has no official job. According to Mr. Lam, after AI technology developed, his major required more in-depth knowledge on technology and engineering operations.
"I decided to continue to study my major in education and go to the Hanoi job placement center to find a part-time job, because I thought it was a way for me to both supplement my knowledge and accumulate practical experience. This is a factor that businesses are currently focusing on in recruitment."

Although there is still a year to graduate, Ms. Nguyen Thi Lan (Hanoi) has proactively gone to a job center to find a part-time job. According to Ms. Lan, the goal of going to work early is to improve knowledge and accumulate experience. With a major in tour guides, she believes that the job requires dynamism, a deep understanding of culture, and the ability to communicate in English and Chinese - skills she needs to improve.
Ms. Lan shared: I consulted with my seniors and noticed that many people were called for interviews but were not admitted because they lacked practical experience. From there, I learned that knowledge learned in school is only a part, more importantly, candidates must have practical experience. So I chose to work part-time to get trained and rub shoulders.
Ms. Nguyen Thi Thu Phuong - recruitment manager of a travel company said: "Currently, the company has many recruitment positions such as accountant, head of human resources department, tour guide, customer consultant... With the customer consulting position, we prioritize recruiting young workers and will retrain if candidates do not have experience. For tour guides, the company will arrange pair-based training and tours with the main tour guide. However, for young workers without experience, we still have tests, assessments and interviews to select suitable candidates.
In the context of an increasingly competitive labor market, proactively seeking job opportunities, accumulating skills and experience right from school is becoming the choice of many young people. This is not only a way to supplement knowledge and improve themselves but also helps them increase their adaptability and seize job opportunities when entering the official labor market.
