Speaking at the conference, Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong said: Since the beginning of the year, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union has closely followed the theme of activities in 2025 which is "Focus on developing union members; participating in building a clean and strong Party". In the first 6 months of the year, under the leadership of Party committees at all levels, along with the efforts of cadres, workers, civil servants and employees (CBCNV) of the whole industry, the labor movement and trade union activities have achieved many outstanding results.
According to the report of 60/64 units under the Vietnam Railway Trade Union, the average income is 11.13 million VND/person/month.
The work of participating in the development and implementation of policies and regimes related to the rights and interests of employees has received attention and focus from trade unions at all levels in the industry. Specifically, trade unions at all levels have updated new policies, laws and regulations of the State to study, apply, and implement regimes for employees in a timely manner, in accordance with business practices; promulgate, amend, and supplement guiding documents, regulations, rules, collective labor agreements, and organize implementation.
Trade unions at all levels have also done a good job of participating in developing and supervising the implementation of labor regulations, collective labor agreements, grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace, salary payment regulations, bonus regulations; the implementation of social insurance, unemployment insurance, health insurance, occupational safety and hygiene policies, heavy and toxic labor. Emulation, rewards, labor discipline and handling complaints and denunciations related to the rights and interests of workers have been paid attention to by leaders at all levels to be resolved publicly, transparently and in accordance with legal regulations.
In addition, the Vietnam Railway Trade Union continues to innovate its organization and methods of operation according to the motto "Towards the grassroots, for the grassroots and for the workers". Many practical activities were implemented, especially in coordination with the professional team to care for the material and spiritual life, improve working and living conditions for union members and employees, especially those in difficult circumstances during the Lunar New Year, Workers' Month, Occupational Safety and Hygiene Month... In particular, the Industry Union organized the first nursing session for 102 employees...
"The role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers continues to be promoted, contributing to building harmonious, stable and progressive labor relations in the industry" - Mr. Mai Thanh Phuong said.
Speaking at the conference, Mr. Hoang Gia Khanh - General Director of Vietnam Railway Corporation - highly appreciated the activities of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union in the past time. At the same time, he requested the union to continue to promote the work of caring for and supporting the families of employees in difficult circumstances to stabilize their lives.
On this occasion, 20 cadres of the Vietnam Railway Trade Union received the "For the cause of building the Vietnam Trade Union organization" Medal from the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
