Help workers establish themselves and start a career in their hometown
Reality shows that many districts, towns and cities in Dak Lak province have a large population of ethnic minorities, most of whom are between 18 and 25 years old. This is a healthy workforce but has not received formal vocational training and does not have stable jobs in their hometowns...
From the capital of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction, in the past 2 years, the authorities in Dak Lak province have implemented a series of vocational training courses to help workers gain more knowledge, qualifications, and professional skills to apply for jobs or create their own jobs, and develop their family economy.
Recently, Mr. Trieu Viet Tue (Tay ethnic, in Ea Tam commune, Krong Nang district) participated in a class on planting and caring for agricultural plants organized by the Commune People's Committee and the Center for Vocational Education and Continuing Education of Krong Nang district.
With the accumulated knowledge, Mr. Tue decided to improve the land, choose suitable varieties to grow coffee and intercrop some other crops such as pepper to increase income. Thanks to that, Mr. Tue's family has gradually escaped poverty and has a stable income.
Similarly, Mr. Tran Trong Le, in M'Drak district, has just graduated from a cattle breeding class at the Center for Vocational Education - Continuing Education. With the knowledge he has learned, Mr. Le has boldly researched market demand to focus on raising cattle in large quantities. In the immediate future, Mr. Le will borrow capital to raise cattle in moderate quantities to accumulate more experience, draw lessons, and then plan for the long term.
Reduce the rate of local unemployment

Of which, more than 2,000 people of working age were consulted and introduced to jobs, and hundreds of people found suitable jobs for themselves. Most of them were hired by businesses in the province.
Ms. Tran Thi Minh Ly - Head of Division of Labor, Employment and Vocational Education (Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Dak Lak province) - shared: "In recent times, many localities in the province have effectively implemented the National Target Program on sustainable poverty reduction. Especially, in areas with a large population of ethnic minorities, vocational training has helped them have stable jobs and stay in the locality".
According to Ms. Ly, this process of vocational training and self-employment also helps ensure security and order, reducing the crime rate among working-age people. In parallel with the vocational training process for workers, the authorities also organize job counseling days so that people have more options suitable to their abilities and qualifications.
Ms. Ly said that from now until the end of 2024, local authorities will organize job and career counseling for more than 10,000 people.
In addition, localities will focus on organizing and implementing well the work of receiving documents and resolving unemployment insurance policies for workers according to regulations; promoting job referrals and vocational training support for unemployed workers in a timely and proper manner.
