On May 22, towards the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031, Emulation Block No. 8 under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour organized the "Pickleball Tournament Block 8 - Solidarity Cup 2026".
Emulation Block No. 8 under the Vietnam General Confederation of Labour includes units: Trade Union University; Vietnam Trade Union Tourism Co., Ltd.; Trade Union Project Management Board; Labor Relations Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Trade Union Affairs Department, Vietnam General Confederation of Labour; Ton Duc Thang University; Vietnam Trade Union Printing Joint Stock Company; Trade Union Guest House; Lao Dong Newspaper; Institute of Occupational Safety and Health Science; Labor Publishing House.
Mr. Le Van Nghia - Head of the Trade Union Project Management Board, VGCL; Head of Emulation Block No. 8 said that the Pickleball Tournament of Emulation Block No. 8 - Solidarity Cup 2026 is organized at a time when officials, union members, and workers nationwide are enthusiastically competing to achieve achievements to celebrate the 14th Vietnam Trade Union Congress, term 2026-2031.
This is not only a sports activity to improve the health and spiritual life of officials, union members and workers, but also an activity of profound political significance, contributing to spreading the spirit of "Innovation - Democracy - Solidarity - Development". Thereby, continuing to affirm the role of the Vietnam Trade Union organization in caring for the material and spiritual life of union members and workers; building a team of responsible, dynamic and attached trade union officials" - Mr. Le Van Nghia said.
At the tournament, athletes competed in 3 events including: Men's doubles; women's doubles; mixed doubles.
Participating in the tournament, the athletes competed their best, dedicating many exciting and attractive matches, contributing to the overall success of the Tournament.
First place in men's doubles is the pair Diep Quang Bien - Nguyen Ngoc Duc (Trade Union Project Management Board); first place in women's doubles: Nguyen Thi Thanh Minh - Bui Thi Nga (Vietnam Trade Union Tourism Co., Ltd.); first place in mixed doubles: Bach Xuan Ha - Tran Ngoc Thao Uyen (Ton Duc Thang University).
