The conference aims to evaluate the results achieved by the whole industry in the first 10 months of 2024; especially to discuss solutions to "accelerate and sprint" to complete and exceed the targets and tasks assigned by the Prime Minister, as well as the industry's plan set out at the beginning of the year, contributing to ensuring social security in the country.
At the conference, the representative of Vietnam Social Security said that in the past time, the tasks and targets of the industry have achieved positive results. In particular, the main targets have all increased compared to the same period in 2023. Specifically, the number of people participating in social insurance - reaching 19.365 million people, up 11.39%; the number of people participating in unemployment insurance - reaching 15.560 million people, up 9.2%; the number of people participating in health insurance - reaching 93.937 million people, up 3.16%.
The amount of social insurance, unemployment insurance and health insurance collected by the whole industry by the end of October 2024 increased by 12.81% compared to the same period in 2023.
At the conference, leaders of units under the Vietnam Social Security also reported and provided additional information on the implementation of results and tasks of the industry in the first 10 months of the year; at the same time, they guided the Social Security of provinces and cities to focus on tasks in the last 2 months of the year.
Concluding the Conference, on behalf of the industry leaders, General Director Nguyen The Manh acknowledged and commended the results achieved by the entire industry in the first 10 months of 2024. Based on those results and foundations, in the "sprint" period of 2024, General Director of Social Insurance Nguyen The Manh requested that the entire industry focus highly on implementing 8 tasks and solutions.
Accordingly, units review targets and tasks according to instructions, conclusions and plans to focus and be determined to complete them; closely follow instructions from the industry and local authorities; strengthen coordination within and outside the industry, report difficulties and problems for timely resolution.
Continue to focus on the work of building and perfecting legal documents, creating a favorable foundation for the industry's operations in the coming time.
Be determined in solutions to develop social insurance and health insurance participants. Heads of units focus on and coordinate with Steering Committees at all levels, local authorities, tax collection service organizations, tax data review... in implementing tasks.
The entire industry fully resolves the people's rights, paying special attention to the process of payment and use of health insurance medical examination and treatment costs; ensuring adequate funding for health insurance medical examination and treatment facilities.
Continue to strictly manage financial accounting risks and fund investment according to State regulations.
Digital transformation needs to continue to be promoted, closely following actual developments and trends, to serve people better and better.
Strengthen communication work, focusing on the outstanding results and utilities of the industry; reform and guide people in participating and enjoying policies; support people in using utilities and public services of the industry.
The whole industry continues to maintain discipline, clearly assign tasks, promote the responsibility of leaders, prevent corruption and waste, and strictly handle violations.
