On the occasion of the 117th anniversary of the birth of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh (February 2, 1908 - February 2, 2025), the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam (February 3, 1930 - February 3, 2025), the delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor led by comrade Thai Thu Xuong - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - offered incense at the Memorial House of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh in An Dong ward, An Duong district, Hai Phong city.
Comrade Nguyen Duc Canh (1908 - 1932) was born into a poor Confucian family with a rich tradition of patriotism and studiousness in Diem Dien village, Ho Doi commune, Thuy Anh district (now Diem Dien town, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province).
Enlightened by the revolution very early, sympathizing with the suffering of workers and realizing the great strength of the working class if united, he directly participated in, mobilized, and organized the revolutionary struggle movement of the working class.
On July 28, 1929, comrade Nguyen Duc Canh founded the Red General Labor Union of Tonkin (the predecessor of today's Vietnam General Confederation of Labor). The birth of the Red General Labor Union was especially significant for the Vietnamese workers' movement and trade union activities.
In February 1930, he attended the Conference to establish the Communist Party of Vietnam and was assigned to hold important positions: Secretary of the Hai Phong Party Committee, Secretary of the Northern Regional Party Committee, and member of the Standing Committee of the Central Regional Party Committee.
In charge of propaganda work at the Central Region Party Committee Standing Committee, comrade Nguyen Duc Canh played an important role, together with the Central Region Party Committee building a system of Party newspapers from the region to the provinces and bases.
In April 1931, he was arrested by the French colonialists in Vinh. Despite being tortured in many ways, he refused to confess. On July 31, 1932, he was executed by the French colonialists at Hai Phong prison - a place that was later built into his memorial house.
The delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Hai Phong City Labor Federation offered incense to express their respect and commemorate the great contributions of comrade Nguyen Duc Canh.
On the same day, a delegation of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor also offered incense and flowers to comrade Nguyen Duc Canh at the memorial site in Diem Dien town, Thai Thuy district, Thai Binh province.
