National Assembly Chairman Tran Thanh Man signed and issued Resolution No. 1365/NQ-UBTVQH15 of the National Assembly Standing Committee on the establishment of wards in Phu My town and the establishment of Phu My city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Accordingly, the wards of Phu My town are established as follows:
Establish Tan Hoa ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 29.46 km2 and population of 16,457 people of Tan Hoa commune.
Tan Hoa ward borders Phuoc Hoa ward, Tan Hai ward, Chau Pha commune, Toc Tien commune and Vung Tau city.
Establish Tan Hai ward on the basis of the entire natural area of 22.11 km2 and population of 19,301 people of Tan Hai commune.
Tan Hai ward borders Tan Hoa ward, Chau Pha commune; Ba Ria city and Vung Tau city.
Establish Phu My city on the basis of the entire natural area of 333.02 km2 and population of 287,055 people of Phu My town.
Phu My city borders Ba Ria city, Vung Tau city, Chau Duc district; Ho Chi Minh city and Dong Nai province.
After the establishment of Phu My city, there were 10 commune-level administrative units, including 7 wards: Hac Dich, My Xuan, Phu My, Phuoc Hoa, Tan Hai, Tan Hoa, Tan Phuoc and 3 communes: Chau Pha, Song Xoai, Toc Tien;
Ba Ria - Vung Tau province has 7 district-level administrative units, including 4 districts and 3 cities; 77 commune-level administrative units, including 40 communes, 30 wards and 7 towns.
The Standing Committee also resolved to establish the People's Court and People's Procuracy of Phu My city, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Accordingly, the People's Court of Phu My city was established on the basis of inheriting the People's Court of Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
Establish the People's Procuracy of Phu My city on the basis of inheriting the People's Procuracy of Phu My town, Ba Ria - Vung Tau province.
The Government, the People's Council, the People's Committee of Ba Ria - Vung Tau province and relevant agencies and organizations are responsible for organizing the implementation of this Resolution; arranging and perfecting the apparatus of local agencies and organizations; stabilizing the lives of local people, ensuring the requirements of socio-economic development, national defense, security, order and social safety in the area.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court and the Chief Prosecutor of the Supreme People's Procuracy, within the scope of their duties and powers, are responsible for guiding the implementation of the contents of the Resolution under their management responsibilities; arranging the organizational structure, deciding on the staffing, number of judges, prosecutors, other civil servants, and employees of the People's Court and the People's Procuracy of Phu My city and other contents under their authority as prescribed by law.
This Resolution comes into force from March 1, 2025.
