Workers directly dialogue with local leaders
In recent months, in the North of Ho Chi Minh City, the programs "Morning Coffee - Dialogue between workers and local leaders" are being replicated.
The first program was implemented at He Vi Trading and Production Joint Stock Company (Hoa Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City). Attending the program were leaders of Hoa Loi Ward People's Committee, Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of the ward, Ward Trade Union, business leaders and 125 workers and laborers.
At the program, workers were given breakfast and free coffee with local leaders and businesses. The program also became a dialogue session, where workers reflected on issues of traffic safety, dormitory security, health and education quality in the locality.
Next, Mr. Le Van Hong - Chairman of Hoa Loi Ward People's Committee and units in the ward answered questions from workers.
According to Mr. Le Van Hong, for issues under his authority, the locality will handle them, aiming to create favorable conditions and a better living environment for workers. For issues related to sectors, Hoa Loi ward will propose and coordinate to handle them in the near future.
Mr. Phan Van Duc, a worker at He Vi Production and Trading Joint Stock Company, said that the program is very meaningful because it helps workers directly raise people's livelihood issues with local leaders. He hopes that the recommendations will be recorded and gradually resolved so that workers can live and work more conveniently.
From the success in Hoa Loi ward, the "Morning Coffee" program has spread to many other localities in Ho Chi Minh City. In Phu Loi ward, the Ward Trade Union also coordinated with the Grassroots Trade Union of Phat Trien Co., Ltd. (Phu Loi ward, Ho Chi Minh City) to organize the "May Dialogue" program with the theme "Morning Coffee - Connecting Trade Union Belief".
At the program, leaders of Phu Loi ward received many recommendations from workers related to the lives of workers far from home.
Mr. Le Thanh Long - Secretary of the Party Committee of Phu Loi Ward said that the ward always pays attention to the development of businesses and improving the lives of workers. In the coming time, the ward will continue to improve the quality of education and healthcare in the area to meet the needs of people and workers.
In addition, the ward continues to manage strictly to ensure security and order so that workers can live and work in a safe environment. Phu Loi Ward will also maintain this model to continue listening to the voices of workers in the area.
Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation - assessed that the above programs are very meaningful and practical.
“Through this program, the voices of union members and workers will be closer to businesses, closer to local leaders. The thoughts and aspirations of workers are directly proposed. From there, local leaders and businesses promptly resolve the legitimate aspirations of workers” - Ms. Nguyen Kim Loan assessed.
