On September 3, the Quang Ngai Provincial Federation of Labor announced that more than 100 grassroots union officials, union members, and workers of enterprises had just attended a skills training conference organized by the Provincial Federation of Labor.
At the Conference, Dr. Ngo Hoang Anh - Head of the Department of Grassroots Theory, Provincial Political School conveyed the basic contents of 3 topics: Teamwork skills and connecting union members; communication skills, listening and persuasion in union activities; skills in handling conflicts and solving problems at the grassroots level.
At the Conference, Dr. Ngo Hoang Anh - emphasized that union officials cannot work alone, all activities are only effective when they know how to mobilize collective strength. This content is vividly conveyed, focusing on building a spirit of cooperation, reasonably assigning work and promoting the strengths of each member. Thereby, arousing a sense of responsibility, forming a culture of coordination - a very necessary factor not only in trade union activities.
At the Conference, students were able to access steps to analyze the situation, determine the cause and extent, and choose appropriate handling methods. Union officials must know how to forecast conflicts, resolve them objectively, promptly, and in accordance with the law to both protect union members and maintain stable production and business. This is a particularly necessary skill in the context of many businesses facing competitive pressure and human resource fluctuations.
The highlight of the Conference is the communication method associated with real-life situations at the unit to find a way to handle it, making it easy for union officials to apply at the grassroots level.
