The Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province has established a Working Group to support the resolution of difficulties and problems of local authorities at the commune, ward and special zone levels in the province to remove difficulties from the grassroots level, ensuring the new school year is smooth and effective.
In the 2025 - 2026 school year, the whole province has about 450,000 students from kindergarten to high school. After the merger, Quang Ngai province has an area of over 14,800 km2, a large area, especially in the West (old Kon Tum province) with many remote communes and difficult conditions.
From mid-August 2025, the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province will organize many working groups led by the Department's leaders to directly inspect facilities, teaching equipment, teaching staff, books for students in disadvantaged areas and mobilize students to class.
This group consists of 17 members, Mr. Doan Thanh Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province, is the Head of the Group. Members of the management team from preschool to junior high school education, and staff in organization, finance, and digital transformation.
Mr. Doan Thanh Nhan, Deputy Director of the Department of Education and Training of Quang Ngai province, said that after a short period of implementation, the Group has received and handled 10 major problems, mainly related to the rotation, secondment of teachers and appointment of school management staff:
This group includes civil servants of the Department, responsible from preschool to junior high school. In addition, there are officials in charge of organization, digital transformation and finance, because currently, financial work in the cultural and social sector at the commune level still faces many difficulties. The form of operation of the Group includes both direct and indirect. Directly going to the training facility, holding hands and showing instructions; indirectly, through written answers or online exchanges".
Through inspection, schools have basically prepared carefully for the opening day. The basic teaching staff is guaranteed, but some specific subjects such as Informatics, Music, and Fine Arts are still lacking. The Department has temporary solutions such as online teaching, teacher contracts and inter-school teaching, and consulting on training human resources to stay in disadvantaged areas.
Along with that, the "old books for the new school year" program was implemented, mobilizing books from schools with conditions and contributions from benefactors to support students. Sponsors also donated 100 computers to 5 mountainous schools, contributing to improving the quality of teaching.
