Timely support for union members
Implementing the Resolution of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Resolution of the 7th Congress of the Vietnam Banking General Confederation of Labor with the goal of: "Focusing on performing well the functions and tasks, meeting the requirements of the new situation, focusing on representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of employees", the Vietnam Banking General Confederation has promptly issued and effectively implemented many key action programs.
Notable are the program "Improving the welfare of union members"; the program "Improving the effectiveness of dialogue and collective bargaining in the period of 2023 - 2028", along with guiding all levels of unions to promote care for the lives, jobs, regimes and policies for union members and employees.
In the period of 2023 - 2025, more than 4,200 billion VND has been spent on welfare programs, supporting workers' lives; taking care of union members in difficult circumstances, suffering from serious illnesses; policy families, families of people with meritorious services to the revolution - a number that clearly demonstrates the role, responsibility and profound humanity of the Trade Union organization in the context of many economic difficulties. The union has supported more than 4,000 union members and employees waiting to quit their jobs at the National money printing Factory Union with a total amount of over 2 billion VND; supported more than 9 billion VND for over 3,000 union members and employees of the State Bank of Vietnam, branches of 63 provinces and cities when implementing the organizational arrangement in the spirit of Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW.
During the recent storms and floods, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union promptly spent 700 million VND to visit and encourage affected and damaged employees and their families; and at the same time supported officers on duty during the storm at the monetary department, treasury, security, and protection under the State Bank branch in regions 4, 5, 10, and 11.
Encouraging creativity among union members and workers
In addition to welfare programs, the Vietnam Bank Trade Union pays special attention to organizing and implementing emulation movements, thereby helping union members and employees contribute their talents and intelligence.
In reality, emulation movements in the whole industry continue to make a strong impression, attracting a large number of union members and employees to participate. The program "1 million initiatives - Efforts to overcome difficulties, creativity, determination to defeat the Covid-19 pandemic" recorded 17,478 initiatives, exceeding the assigned plan targets. Many initiatives bring hundreds of billions of VND in benefits to banks, directly contributing to improving business processes, improving service quality and operational efficiency. Notable among them is the Online Contest "Creative Journey, Aspiration to Rise Up", with 3 outstanding initiatives honored at the 2025 Creative Labor Festival Exhibition organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor.
To achieve the above results, the Banking Trade Union has proactively adapted, constantly innovated its methods of operation; promoted its role as a representative, caregiver, and defender the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, while closely accompanying the professional team to overcome difficulties, contributing to the successful completion of assigned political tasks - Ms. Nguyen Khanh Chi - Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Bank Trade Union said.
