Ms. Nguyen Thu Huong's family, lecturer at the Central Pedagogical College (Vietnam Education Union), is one of the typical families commended at the "National Typical Workers', Civil Servants' and Laborers' Families" program in 2026 organized by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor. Previously, her family was recognized as a "Typical Learning Family" in 2023.
Ms. Huong's husband currently works in the Border Guard force and has actively participated in social security activities for many years such as contributing to the "Raising Steps for Children to School" Fund, the "Children of Border Guard Station" program and many other charitable activities.
Sharing after being praised, Ms. Huong said that she felt extremely touched, happy and proud when her family was honored. According to her, this is not only the honor of her family alone but also the pride of the Vietnam Education Union and the Central Pedagogical College, where she is working as a lecturer at the Faculty of Vocational Education.
Ms. Huong said that being selected for commendation is a lucky thing because there are still many families across the country with commendable contributions and achievements. She expressed her gratitude to the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and leaders at all levels for creating conditions for her family to exchange, share experiences and learn from other typical families.
With more than 22 years of attachment to the education sector, Ms. Huong has always strived in her professional work and has been awarded the Medal "For the Cause of Education". However, she believes that the achievements are always accompanied and encouraged by her husband. Due to the specific nature of his work in the Border Guard force, he regularly performs duties in border areas, participates in the fight against illegal entry and exit and performs many difficult and arduous tasks.
Her family is also proud to have two obedient and studious children. The eldest son, born in 2008, has just completed the high school graduation exam and is waiting for the results. The second son has just passed the first wish for 10th grade as desired by the family. He has achieved many outstanding achievements in his studies with gold and silver medals at domestic and international competitions, along with many city, district and school-level awards.
For Ms. Huong, her husband's companionship and the continuous efforts of her children are a great source of encouragement for her to continue to contribute in her work, while building a happy, progressive family with a rich tradition of studiousness.
For his part, Mr. Ngo Minh Duc said that because he often works far away, most of the family work is taken care of by his wife. He expressed his gratitude for his wife's silent sacrifices when she both completed her professional work at school well, and took care of her children, nurtured the family and fulfilled her responsibilities to both sides of the family.
“To keep me at ease in my work, behind me there is always a capable, responsible and wholeheartedly devoted wife to the family. I want to send my sincere thanks to my wife for her efforts, sharing and companionship over the past time. It is my wife's sacrifice that is the motivation for me to complete the assigned tasks well, and at the same time build a happy family together” - Mr. Duc shared.
