On the morning of June 24, in Nha Trang ward, the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union (VWU) organized a program to commend and exchange with 70 typical intergenerational families in the province in 2026.
At the program, delegates, guests and typical families participated in a seminar with the theme "Building a safe digital family - Connecting generations in the digital transformation era". The content focused on sharing skills to recognize risks in the online environment, protect personal information, build a culture of behavior in the digital space and maintain cohesion between family members.
Representatives of Khanh Hoa Provincial Police said that in the context of strong digital technology development, cyberspace is becoming an inseparable part of social life with 85 million internet users and 110 million social network accounts.
However, the online environment also poses many risks to families such as fake news, misinformation, personal data theft, online fraud, and copyright infringement.
Especially the risk of affecting the psychology, emotions, and behavior of users, in which children and adolescents are groups that need to be cared for and protected.
According to representatives of the Provincial Police, building a safe digital family is not only equipping skills to use technology but also needs the companionship between generations, so that parents and grandparents can understand, share and guide their children and grandchildren in the process of accessing the digital environment.
According to Ms. Nguyen Quynh Nga - Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, Chairwoman of the Khanh Hoa Provincial Women's Union, in the context of generational gap, pressure to raise children, the impact of social networks and changes in modern life are posing many challenges, preserving family values is becoming increasingly necessary.
Over the past time, the Provincial Women's Union has implemented many activities towards building happy families through movements and projects such as "5 yes, 3 no's", "5 no's, 3 cleans"... Through this, each family member has access to knowledge and skills to build a prosperous, progressive, and happy family.
In particular, the intergenerational family model is considered a highlight in propaganda and mobilization work, helping family members become more connected, share responsibilities, and promote the role of grandparents and parents in educating and caring for the younger generation.
The program is also an opportunity for typical intergenerational families to exchange and share meaningful stories about how to maintain happiness, build a cultural family, overcome difficulties in life and raise children and grandchildren to adulthood.
