Speaking to reporters, Mr. Le Thanh Xuan - Member of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Chairman of the TKV Trade Union - said that this is the 6th time the industry union has organized the "Glory to Miners" program.
This program has been associated with many activities of TKV Trade Unions at all levels in the past time, has been organized 6 times, creating a wide spread throughout the Group, encouraging employees and miners to enthusiastically participate in production and bring many very practical results.
In the past 5 years, TKV Trade Union has commended and rewarded over 1,000 excellent employees and good managers. Every year, over 3,000 employees have an income of over 300 million VND/year. In 2023 alone, over 13,000 employees have an income of 300 million VND/year, with 605 employees having an income of 500 to 700 million VND/year. The salary of employees of the whole Group in 2014 reached 8,436 million VND/month, by 2023 it reached 17.7 million VND/month, the average salary of miners reached 25 million VND/month, the salary has increased more than 2 times after 10 years.
Speaking at the ceremony, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor and the Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group acknowledged and commended the TKV Trade Union at all levels for their attention to directing the movement of workers and trade union activities, organizing patriotic emulation movements, creative initiatives, miners' welfare, and honoring outstanding collectives and individuals in various fields.
On behalf of the Presidium of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, Vice President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor Phan Van Anh assessed that all activities of the TKV Trade Union at all levels are directed towards the grassroots, towards the workers, making the workers feel secure and confident, thereby striving to build the enterprise and the Group to develop more and more.
In the coming time, the leaders of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor requested that the TKV Trade Union should continue to focus on directing trade unions at all levels to effectively and better carry out the work of practically caring for, representing and protecting the legitimate rights and interests of the labor force in the entire Group, especially building and implementing the plan to care for the Lunar New Year At Ty; continue to pay attention to the work of developing union members; emulation, commendation and recognition of collectives and individuals with outstanding achievements in labor production, meeting the requirements of national development and international integration.
TKV Trade Union needs to continue to demonstrate its role in organizing movements and activities of a professional nature, implementing the specific three breakthroughs of the 13th Congress of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor; ensuring occupational safety and hygiene, corporate culture and policy-making activities by profession to meet the aspirations of employees in the group.
Mr. Phan Van Anh also asked 125 employees and union officials honored in the "Glory to Miners 2024" Program to continue promoting the achievements gained in the past time, strive to spread good initiatives and models in creative labor and union activities so that the TKV Union movement becomes increasingly stronger.
