Towards the 97th anniversary of the establishment of the Vietnam Trade Union, on July 24, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation organized a ceremony to commend children of workers, civil servants, and laborers "Good at studying - Good at living" for the first time, in 2026.
Speaking at the commendation ceremony, City Party Committee Member, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Chairman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation Nguyen Quoc Dung said that this year Dong Nai city has 7,513 children of union members, workers, civil servants, and laborers who were commended with the title "Good at studying - Good at living".
Specifically at today's ceremony (July 24), 535 children at the end of the levels were honored. Among them, many children achieved outstanding achievements in exams and competitions from provincial to city and national level. In particular, 17 children achieved national-level achievements, 120 children achieved provincial and city-level achievements and 23 children won prizes in scientific and technical research exams along with many outstanding achievements in the Informatics, Foreign Languages and Physical Education Olympics. These achievements have affirmed the spirit of studiousness, will to overcome difficulties and aspiration to rise up of children of union members and workers.
Many children have achieved and overcome difficult circumstances to rise up to "Good at studying - Good at living". Especially many families with 2 children are also commended. Some children have been commended many times through educational levels.
Also on this occasion, the Standing Committee of the Dong Nai City Labor Federation presented 26 sets of English handwriting and reading pens for children of union members in difficult circumstances.
Chairman of Dong Nai City Labor Federation Nguyen Quoc Dung said: The Standing Committee of the City Labor Federation will continue to innovate welfare programs, expand activities to care for education, health, material and spiritual life so that all union members can clearly feel the value of the trade union organization, the companion and reliable support of workers.
Previously, on July 19, the Dong Nai City Labor Federation organized a ceremony to commend children of workers, civil servants, and laborers "Good at studying - Living well" for the first time, 2026 (Northern Dong Nai area), commending 471 children.
