On June 25, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor (LWF) organized a ceremony to commend, reward and award scholarships to children of union members who overcome difficulties and study well in the 2024 - 2025 school year.
At the ceremony, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor honored 103 students and children of union members who won prizes in provincial and national competitions for excellent students in high school culture subjects and awarded scholarships to 151 students who overcame difficulties and studied well from the Golden Heart Social Charity Fund of Long An Branch, with a total prize and scholarship value of 335 million VND.
In which, excellent students won prizes in the national excellent student selection exam, first prize of 10 million, second prize of 7 million; third prize of 5 million and consolation prize of 3 million; excellent students won prizes in the provincial excellent student selection exam, first prize of 3 million, second prize of 2 million and third prize of 1 million; and a scholarship for union members who overcome difficulties and study well is 1 million VND/scholarship.

In addition, in the program, CEP microfinance Corporation, branches of Tan An, Ben Luc, Duc Hoa and Can Duoc presented 50 CEP scholarships with a total value of 105 million VND; and supported 1,510 notebooks to give to students in difficult circumstances.
According to the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor, in recent years, trade unions at all levels in the province have always paid attention to the work of promoting education and talent for children of workers, civil servants, and union members, contributing to helping union members and workers reduce difficulties in life, have conditions to take care of their children going to school, as well as motivate them to continue to strive to study, improve their knowledge, and become good citizens in the future with many contributions to the country and the province.
From 2022 to present, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor has organized conferences to honor and reward 303 students of union members who won prizes in national and provincial competitions for excellent students in high school culture subjects, and awarded scholarships to 430 students of union members who overcame difficulties and studied well, with a total amount of 914 million VND.
