On June 17, the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor held the 7th expanded Executive Committee Conference, term XI, summarizing the activities of the Trade Union in the first 6 months of 2025 and setting out directions and tasks for the last 6 months of 2025.
In the first 6 months of 2025, Long An Provincial Trade Unions at all levels have done a good job of representing, caring for, and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of workers, civil servants, and laborers. Especially during the Lunar New Year 2025, Trade Unions at all levels gave gifts to more than 400,000 union members and workers with a total amount of over 181 billion VND. The Provincial Federation of Labor alone presented 39,800 "Spring Warm Union Love" gifts, worth 39.8 billion VND; implemented a program to give bus tickets to workers to return home for Tet, the Tet Sum Vay Program - Spring of gratitude to the Party, the Trade Union Tet market, the Army - People's Tet;...
In the 2025 Workers' Month, 100% of trade unions at the grassroots level and over 1,200 trade unions will organize practical activities to serve workers, support and care for union members and workers with nearly 30 billion VND. The "Thank You to Workers" program is organized at 20 enterprises. In the past 6 months, 69 Union shelters, each worth 70 million VND, have been donated to workers with housing difficulties; 55 grassroots unions have been established, and 14,115 new union members have been admitted.
Speaking at the conference, Chairman of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor - Mr. Nguyen Van Qui praised the efforts of the Trade Unions at all levels, helping the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor achieve and exceed 7/15 targets in 2025.
Mr. Qui shared that although the apparatus is being streamlined and rearranged, the Trade Union organization always accompanies and supports union members, workers and laborers. After the arrangement and operation is stable, the Trade Unions at all levels need to continue to closely follow the tasks and complete the set targets.
At the conference, the Executive Committee of the Long An Provincial Federation of Labor awarded Certificates of Merit to many collectives and individuals with good achievements in Trade Union activities in the first 6 months of 2025.
