According to a report from the Vinh Long Provincial Labor Federation, from March 23-28, trade union levels in the province implemented many key activities, achieving positive results in many fields.
During the week, the Standing Committee and the Standing Board of the Provincial Labor Federation attended many important events such as a meeting to celebrate the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Ho Chi Minh Communist Youth Union; the preliminary conference for the first quarter of 2026 of the Provincial Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee. At the same time, delegates participated in a workshop to improve the organizational and operating regulations of grassroots trade unions; attended a conference of workers at units and businesses and many other thematic activities.
Notably, the work of developing union members continued to be promoted with 225 new union members admitted, establishing 2 grassroots trade unions (Phuc Thinh stuffed animals Co., Ltd. and Truc Giang Seafood One Member Co., Ltd.), renaming 3 grassroots trade unions. This is a positive signal, contributing to expanding the network of trade union organizations, improving the ability to care for and protect the rights of workers.
In addition, the Provincial Labor Federation organized a Conference to establish the Trade Union of Tra Vinh ward, Nguyet Hoa ward and Ba Tri commune; deployed a financial inspection of the Trade Union; organized a conference of cadres, civil servants, and laborers in 2026. The work of preventing and combating corruption, wastefulness, and negativity is concerned through quarterly reports for the first quarter.
In addition, many important plans and programs have been issued to implement tasks in the 2026–2030 period, associated with improving the effectiveness of Trade Union activities and building a team of workers to meet new development requirements.
Currently, the whole province manages 627 grassroots trade unions and professional unions with more than 174,000 union members.
