Enhancing the position and reputation of the Vietnamese defense industry in the international arena

Over the past 5 years, Vietnam has twice organized the International Defense Exhibition (2022 and 2024) with great success, highly appreciated by many cadres, generals, soldiers and people across the country, and international friends.

The 2nd Vietnam International Defense Exhibition in 2024 alone had more than 260,000 visitors; more than 240 domestic and international defense industry enterprises participated with more than 440 indoor and outdoor exhibition booths with a variety of products.

To successfully organize the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition, there are great efforts from agencies and units, including a great advisory role from the General Department of Natural Resources and Environment. This is just one of many outstanding activities of the General Department of Land Use Insurance in recent times.

At the working conference in early 2025 with the Minister of National Defense, Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan - Director of the General Department of National Defense - said that in 2024, the General Department of National Defense proactively coordinated with agencies and units to synchronously deploy and comprehensively complete 11 groups of tasks under the direction of the Minister of National Defense.

Concluding the meeting, General Phan Van Giang - Politburo member, Minister of National Defense - acknowledged the outstanding results that the General Department of Natural Resources and Environment has achieved in 2024. At the same time, it is noted that self-reliance in the field of national defense is very important, especially through the Vietnam International Defense Exhibition 2024, which clearly affirmed this.

Therefore, in the next exhibition, the General Department of Natural Resources and Environment needs to further promote the achieved results to advise and organize the exhibition more successfully. Study and supplement the tasks assigned by the Central Military Commission, develop specific plans, mobilize resources, research and produce new and modern weapons and equipment; rearrange enterprises to operate effectively.

According to the General Department of Military Command, 2025 marks the 80th anniversary of the construction, fighting and growth of the Vietnam Military Command (now the General Department of Military Command).
