21 years of spreading the value of dedication and national spirit
The glory of Vietnam is a special cultural and political event, honoring individuals, businesses, and entrepreneurs with outstanding achievements in patriotic emulation movements.
In 2025, with the theme "Pride and Aspiration", the program not only honors the achievements, but is also a strong call, arousing determination and optimism to reach a brilliant and sustainable future. This is a sacred call, calling on every Vietnamese person to join hands to contribute, building a strong and prosperous country. From the great achievements we have had, we continue to rise up, be creative, innovate, and gradually realize the noble aspirations of the nation.
Over the past 21 years, the Vietnam Glory program has always received the coordination of the Central Emulation and Reward Committee and the Central ministries, departments have introduced, nominated, and evaluated advanced models for the program.
Ms. Cu Thi Hau - former President of the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor - said: "Since 2004, when Lao Dong Newspaper proposed the idea of organizing the Vietnam Glory program, I have fully supported and created all conditions for implementation. This is a meaningful initiative to honor workers, scientists and outstanding individuals across the country, who are silently contributing to the development and strength of the country.
For many groups, the recognition from the community is a great source of motivation to add strength on the journey ahead.
Major General Tao Duc Thang - Chairman and General Director of the Military Industry - Telecommunications Group (Viettel) - affirmed: "When the contributions are recognized and spread, it is not only a source of pride but also a strong encouragement to help us continue the journey ahead, continue to contribute more to society and the people".
Rewards along the journey of dedication
For many individuals honored in the Vietnam Glory program, it is not only a milestone to recognize their contributions but also a great source of encouragement for them to continue to strive, strive and contribute more.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri - former Director of the National Institute of Hematology and Blood Transfusion is honored and proud to receive the Vietnam Glory Award twice. According to the professor, this is a special award because it honors workers from all classes, all fields, regardless of age, profession or ethnicity, who have made outstanding contributions to the development of society.
It is not only a timely recognition, but also a great source of encouragement and inspiration for workers to continue to strive. I feel very happy to be a part of that journey - Professor Nguyen Anh Tri shared.
Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri once took on the responsibility of being a member of the Award Voting Council. He considered this a great honor, and at the same time a great responsibility to be the one who "carried the right weights" to select the most outstanding individuals and groups from millions of workers across the country.
The Vietnam Glory Award is very widespread. It is not limited to a specific industry or subject, but is aimed at all those who are working, making a real contribution to the community. Therefore, the voting work must go through many steps, very seriously and fairly. From the proposed grassroots level, the ministries and branches appraised, to Lao Dong Newspaper participated in the actual survey, and finally the voting council. It is a very meticulous and objective process - Professor Nguyen Anh Tri said.
A highlight mentioned by Associate Professor, Dr. Nguyen Anh Tri is that the award not only honors and rewards, but also closely follows the development journey of the honored person.
"I know that the evaluation criteria also consider whether individuals or units will continue to contribute after receiving the award or not. This is a very valuable thing, because it creates a long-term motivation for individuals to be honored - Professor Nguyen Anh Tri said.
The Vietnam Glory Program is a special political - cultural - social event directed by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, in coordination with the Central Emulation and Reward Committee, assigned to Lao Dong Newspaper to organize annually since 2004. This year, the program enters its 21st tenure with the theme "Pride and Aspiration", to honor collectives and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the 80 years of building and defending the Fatherland, especially in the fields of digital economy, green economy, innovation and sustainable development.
The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on June 22, 2025 at the Vietnam-Soviet Friendship Labor Cultural Palace, Hanoi.
A great pride and responsibility to be honored in the Vietnam Glory program in 2025
The State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs is one of the groups honored in the Vietnam Glory program in 2025. Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien - Chairman of the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese, Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that the Vietnam Glory Program is not just an ordinary award ceremony, but has become a particularly prestigious political, cultural and social event, a place to honor national spirit and outstanding contributions to the country. Therefore, he believes that being among the typical advanced groups honored by the program is a huge honor.
This recognition is not only a source of pride but also a great responsibility for generations of cadres, civil servants and workers of the Committee to continue to strive, further promote their role as a solid bridge, strengthen the great national unity bloc and contribute more to the development of the country - Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien shared.
According to Mr. Nguyen Trung Kien, with the honor and responsibility that the award brings, the State Committee for Overseas Vietnamese promises to continue to promote the tradition of over 65 years, making further efforts to play a bridging and connecting role between the overseas Vietnamese community and the country, so that the common home of overseas Vietnamese is increasingly strong, spreading the "pride and aspiration" of Vietnamese people all over the world.
Mr. Pham Dinh Duan - a worker at the 14th mining workshop, Vang Danh Coal Joint Stock Company - Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group is one of 6 individuals honored.
