Research and successfully manufacture many new and modern weapons and equipment
Throughout that journey, what creates the Z111 brand is not only production lines or revenue figures, but also the spirit of self-reliance and self-strengthening nurtured through many generations.
Today, the infantry weapon production line of the Factory operates stably, is arranged according to a closed technology process and complies with safety and technical security standards. The entire line is equipped with over 1,700 units of equipment and systems, mostly CNC equipment. These are new, modern equipment, originating from developed countries such as: Germany, USA, Switzerland... transferred from abroad, new investment, advanced production technology.
However, the greatest value lies not in the modern equipment but in the mastery of the Vietnamese engineering team. In recent years, Z111 has gradually localized many specialized technologies, successfully researched many new types of weapons, and gradually become self-reliant from design to manufacturing.
According to Factory Z111, the unit has successfully researched and manufactured 29 types of new, modern weapons and technical equipment, serving training, combat readiness and modernization of the Army. The Factory was also awarded 2 State Prizes for design and manufacture of smoothbore weapons and rifles with spiral grooves.
Creating a premise to move towards exporting "Made in Vietnam" weapons to the international market
Z111 is also a pioneer factory in exporting weapon details, creating a premise for exporting "Made in Vietnam" weapons to the international market. To date, 20 component contracts have been signed for production and export of more than 3.8 million turns of products and details of many types of weapons.
The unit takes the lead in applying science and technology, innovation and digital transformation. In the 2015-2025 period, the Factory implemented 75 scientific topics and tasks; many results were applied to production and equipment throughout the army. The Factory also had 866 initiatives and technical improvements, of which 7 topics won the Creative Youth Award in the Army.
Colonel Hoang Quoc Vinh - Chairman cum Director of Factory Z111 - said that in recent years, the unit has successfully completed its national defense production tasks, promoted economic production activities and exported national defense products.
In addition, the unit effectively implemented investment projects; scientific and technological work, research, design, and manufacture of weapons and technical equipment achieved many good results. Party and political work activities were comprehensively deployed, contributing to the successful completion of the Factory's political tasks.
At the XXVII Congress of the Z111 Party Committee, Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan - Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Director of the General Department of National Defense Industry - acknowledged and highly appreciated the outstanding results of the Z111 Party Committee in the past term. Lieutenant General Ho Quang Tuan also emphasized the requirement to master advanced technology, improve research, design, manufacturing, and production capacity of new and modern weapons and technical equipment; drastically implement administrative reform and digital transformation, build modern workshops and smart factories; strengthen political and ideological education, build a team of cadres and employees with expertise and steadfast political bravery, and high determination.
