101 students awarded prizes in the "Students with Network Security 2026" contest

Overcoming more than 1 million secondary school students participating in the competition, 101 students with the highest achievements were awarded the "Student with Network Security 2026" award.

On the morning of April 24, the award ceremony for the "Students with Network Security 2026" contest took place in Hanoi.

Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh - Director of Department A05, Executive Vice Chairman of the National Cyber Security Association said that in the context of national digital transformation being accelerated, cyberspace is increasingly becoming an important learning, communication and development environment for the young generation.

However, along with that are many risks and challenges for ensuring network security, information security, especially acts of harm, fraud, and negative impacts on children. This poses an requirement to strengthen education, equip knowledge, skills and raise awareness for students from an early age.

According to the assessment of Lieutenant General Le Xuan Minh, the results of the "Students with Network Security 2026" contest have shown that the level of awareness and knowledge of students about network security is increasingly improved, while affirming the potential of the young Vietnamese generation in this very important field.

The results of the contest not only reflect the level of awareness and knowledge of students but also show the great potential of the young generation in the field of cybersecurity - a field of strategic significance for the task of protecting national security in the new situation.

At the event, representatives of the Organizing Committee said that the "Students with Network Security 2026" contest has received widespread response nationwide. In just a short time, the preliminary round attracted 1,125,331 secondary school students to participate, from 6,840 schools in 34 provinces and cities; equivalent to about 15% of the total number of secondary school students and about 64% of secondary schools nationwide.

Many localities recorded outstanding results. In which, Ho Chi Minh City leads the country in the number of participating students with 126,232 students.

From more than one million contestants participating in the preliminary round, the Organizing Committee selected 330 best contestants, representing 300 schools in 33 provinces and cities to enter the final round. The final round was held on April 20 at 295 online exam sites nationwide; specifically in Hanoi, the contestants competed at the Online Arena of Department A05.

As a result, the Organizing Committee selected 101 students with the highest achievements to award prizes, including 4 first prizes, 7 second prizes, 15 third prizes and 75 consolation prizes.

Nguyen Tra My, class 8C, Quang Tung Secondary School, Quang Tri province is the candidate with the highest score nationwide with 22 points.

The contest is chaired by the National Cyber Security Association, in coordination with the Department of Cyber Security and High-Tech Crime Prevention (A05), Ministry of Public Security; Department of Science, Technology and Information, Ministry of Education and Training and accompanying units.

The contest not only recognizes and honors outstanding students, but also continues to spread the message of building a generation of digital citizens with knowledge, skills, responsibility and bravery; ready to adapt to the requirements of the digital age, contributing to building a safe, healthy and sustainable cyberspace in Vietnam.
